I had my first knee done in Nov. 2011, and my last knee done in May 2012. I am so glad I did them one at a time. There realy isn't bad pain except for raising and bending it. Your quad muscles (large ones in top of thighs), lose their strength and you almost have to learn to walk again for strenght. I would think in my experience, that it would be hard trying to get strength in both knees at once. To get back exactly like they shoud be takes about a year. It has to heal inside and out. You can walk, but the whole time, you're still working to get everything back to normal. I had mine done 5 mos. apart. My first one was pretty good by then, now it's been about 11 mos. and it's doing great. The last leg has been 8 mos. and still working on getting up without my hands. BUT I'M GETTING THERE!!!!!View Thread
