Hello, I am 46 years old and have osteoperosis. I tried Atenelol and it made me very sick so I decided not to take it again. My dr. wants me to take Prolia but there is not much information for premeopausal women. Does anyone know if this is safe and why it is not recommended for premeopause? Is it becuase there just isn't enough need in that group so there aren't any studies or is it harmful? Any info would be helpful. I looked for studies as well and the cutoff age of the study is 45 so I don't qualify. Thanks, HaleyBethView Thread
Thank you for the information. I tried the Actonel and it made me so sick. I am also not good at taking pills. I try to take daily vitamins when I remember. I like the fact that Prolia is an injection so I dont have to worry about taking pills every day but I guess I still do since I need to remember to take the calcium and vit D. Thank You for your insight. I am not dure what my best option is and I definetly need to do something. I am -2.7 on my dexa. I thought I was too young for this but I guess not.View Thread
