I severely broke my femur and femoral head, had surgery and 7 day hospital stay, followed by inpatient rehab 30 days. My problem is that my leg broke SO Easy. I tripped over a 5 gallon can, my left leg seemed to break while it was in the "air" as I heard it "Pop". Way too easy to break. The pain was excrutiating and I was home alone. By the grace of God, my cell phone was in my pocket & I was able to call husband and son, they called EMS. This was a horror story of pain incurred while in the ER of the local hospital. I am STILL recuperating. On my feet but walking with an ungly limp. It has been slightly over three months. Maybe it just takes longer to not feel the pain when I walk.
What I can't understand, I took Fosamax for over ten years at least, but that was maybe eight years ago. I do not know much about the lawsuit, except that I heard femur breaks that do not seemed warranted are associated with having taken Fosamax. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks, MonjeanView Thread
