What's Happening Now
I hear you about going to bed early, but they must need their rest. When Alex was there age he actually took like a 20 minute nap right after dinner, and then I put him to bed around 7:30. This was totally his doing, I probably tried to keep him up, but it is what it is. It's hard to keep them up, but maybe you could try putting them to bed 10 minutes later for a week, and then another 10 minutes later the next week? Since they can put themselves back to sleep on their own, I think eventually they will sleep longer.
We are doing good! We've only been trying a couple months, but praying for a nice surprise as well. I think this time around I am much more relaxed, having a toddler at home does keep your mind off things!
Are you on FB? We have a FB group over there with a lot of the girls that used to be on these boards. My FB name is Emily Urbanek Otte if you want to be added, just add me as a friend. Take care!View Thread

Hope you post photos but of course don't feel pressured if you are uncomfortable doing so on the web, I'll understand. How is she doing so far? How are you doing so far?View Thread
When my babies started giggling, they did it whenever our small French Bulldogs would let them pet them. Also, they like it when I make squirty noises with my mouth, and dance around acting silly. I also have my cell phone ready trying to record it when they do something cute, but mine never want to do anything while I have the phone out. I think it's because they know that they phone has Baby Einstein videos and they want me to turn it around and let them watch.
Keep us updated with how you guys are doing.View Thread
Overall I think she's a pretty laid back baby. She sleeps well and is happy to be in her bassinet awake. She rarely cries and when she does there's a reason and as soon as we fix it she's done. We're getting pictures done this weekend. A friend of our cousin is starting a photography business and going to do a shoot for us.

Sarah this is PHENOMENAL. Yea everyone tells you once you have one your body will reset and you may conceive easily with #2. I didn't think I'd be one of the lucky ones but I was.

I met the pediatrician yesterday and really like her. The only question is if she'll deliver before my baby comes home. She's due 10 days before I was. LOL We'll just see her partner if she's out when we get released. He came highly recommended too, but isn't taking new patients.
Good luck with that huge decision. We can't quite manage that and I'm not sure I want to. My going back part-time seems a good solution and my boss has been on board so far. We've had some serious talks about it. He was convinced I'd quit for a while and may still be, but after one heart to heart I think he understood. The challenge with that is finding child care. That's my next project to tackle...View Thread

my husband didnt want to use the dandruff shampoo or baking soda because he was afraid of hurting her. i did find something that worked better than oil. i got Aveeno's eczema wash and moisturizing cream. the wash keeps her skin softer and when the flakes do come back, they are much much softer and easier to get off. after i wash her hair i put the cream in and it take care of the redness and again softens her scalp.
my pediatrician said losing hair is normal and that they lose their hair and new hair grows.View Thread
James is in size 2 now and we're working on a big box of Pampers (Sesame Street) before we get to the new box of Huggies Little Swaddlers. Erin is in the size 1 Little Swaddlers. The Pampers don't have a line, but the Huggies do.
Right now we're struggling with Erin's colic. She screams most nights, sometimes for a few hours. I can't wait until she grows out of it. She's a happy baby when her tummy isn't hurting. James is happy most of the time.

Good luck on your trip! All I can say is that you will figure out what works best for your family. Like Stacy said, I travel quite a bit, and I travel quite a bit alone with Alex. If you think Madden will sleep well if its his bedtime, I think this is the way to go. And this will probably change as he gets older. Now that Alex is older he rarely sleeps in the car, so we actually like to travel first thing in the morning. We tried traveling (and will be do so this weekend) right after dinner, but Alex usually stays awake the entire time... ugh. You are doing the right thing, planning your stops around meals, that is exactly what we do. Maybe some soothing baby music would help too if he gets fussy in the seat. I also sit in the back with Alex sometimes too. I know it can be frustrating to listen to them cry, and we have spent many trips doing so, but there is nothing that you can do while you are driving, and eventually madden will be a pro. Alex barely cries at all on long trips, it's like he knows that there is no point in crying! Let us know how it goes!!View Thread
I can't imagine TTC getting any easier, I think IF is something we will live with the rest of our lives, good or bad. Many prayers for not resorting to IF treatments this time around! Keep us posted!!!View Thread
Mine are : Poppy the Frenchton and Roland the French Bulldog/Pug. Also, my page is listed under Mary Huffman Bradley. You guys send me a friend request!!! I love seeing people from here on there so I can see all of the precious babies. Also, it means a lot to me to share in the joy of people who have also struggled with infertility. We've all been through such a hard time.
I was wondering how I had lost so much weight so fast, but as I was picking at my cold dinner, I realized just how much I've cut back on eating because I seem to always have a baby in my arms. My own needs are last now. I have to take care of the babies, then the dogs, then my husband, and then myself. I also know that some of the weight, at least 10 lbs worth, was from the swelling.View Thread
