I plan on doing the glucose test this week and I am NOT looking forward to it.
The only concern I have is that I'm still tired. I sleep all the time. My OB said that hopefully by 18w I'll be back to normal. Fingers crossed.View Thread
I just posted a last post on the PAIF board, and am so excited to join you all here. DD was born 12/21/2012, and is 18 days old today. She is perfect, and we are so thrilled to be her parents. I feel like we are finally off and running on this parenting journey, like we are finally on the roller coaster after spending so much time just trying to get on it.
I'll try to check in on this board periodically with updates. I hope all of your little ones are doing well!View Thread

I definitely don't feel as bad as I did when I was preggo with the twins. BUT, I'm feeling the fatigue and nausea more now than I did earlier in this first trimester. We're going to tell my family at Thanksgiving tomorrow!!!
Hope everyone is well.View Thread
What are you having? Only a little over a month to go, hope you are feeling well and things are smooth. Would love an update. Sorry I don't get on here much anymore but I came back to check in on you and didn't see anything since your last post 4 mos ago.View Thread
Thanks for listening. I just needed to say this to a group of women who can empathize with what's going on.View Thread

I figured, just for crazy's sake, I'd take an HPT today. (I am expecting AF sometime this week) And to my surprise, what do I find....two little lines in the display window. BFP!
DH and I are in shock. We were preparing ourselves for all the IF steps and just assuming it would never happen for us. We are both being realistic and know that it could be a false positive or that it may not last. We're taking it one day at a time.
I'l be giving my OB a call tomorrow morning.
I'll also keep you guys updated as we move along.View Thread

They are 16 weeks old now but really only seem like newborns because they were born so early. Reagan has TERRIBLE reflux! Nothing really helps. We have tried several different formulas, including Elecare, and none of them help. She is currently on Enfamil AR which seems to be the best. She is also on Zantac twice a day. We take her back to the gastroenterologist later this month and I'm hoping they will try a different medication. Emma is good. Developmentally she is a bit behind Reagan but she is coming along. A physical therapist and a teacher come to the house once a month to work with the girls and they give us different exercises and things to do with them to try to speed up their development.I hope everyone here is well, I know we are all busy!View Thread
I am wondering if i can get some tips from you ladies. I am still trying to establish nap time routine with zara. her bedtime routine is down and she is even sleeping through the night, but nap time she fights me. ive read tips online and did everything. i put her down in her crib when she shows signs of tiredness. i put on soft music and this vibrator thing i use. but she fights it for like 30 or 40 minutes before she finally falls asleep. the lengths are inconsistent too. sometimes she will sleep for hours, other times its barely 20 min. this is especially problematic everyday after i pick her up from daycare. her last nap ends at 2:45 or 3pm at which time she eats. when we get home, she eats again at 5:30, and starts to get tired and i try to get her down for a nap. trouble is that her bedtime is around 8pm or 8:30pm. she will either fight and fight for 30 and take a 20 min nap and then be cranky till bed time or will take a really long nap and i usually have to wake her up before bedtime to feed her and put her back to sleep. on the weekends its a little better, but she still fights nap time. i guess my questions are:
- is that just how it is? do babies usually fight nap time and eventually get a hold of it?
- are there tips you use that help? i tried using a mobile, a projector soother, a vibrator, white noise, soft music. it usually holds her attention for a few minutes, and then she starts fussing. anything you ladies use that helps?
- literature says not to use any "props" because then the baby becomes dependent on those and will not know how to sleep on her own. what do you think?
i feel so useless sometimes. i feel like i should know what helps her sleep but i dont know if its because she is in daycare and i just dont know what works for her. ive asked what they do at daycare and they usually just let her fall asleep where she is.
any tips you ladies have will help.

I know that the OPKs test for the LH surge and that when you get the first postive that means you're suppose to ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. So does the test keep showing positive because the LH sticks around?View Thread
Zara Ann is not 10 weeks old, going on 11 weeks. she is doing well and is a good baby. i recently went back to work and put her in daycare. its been really tough...
Apart from a little spit up issue, she is doing well. she does however, have a nasty case of cradle cap. she was born with a full head of hair but now so much of it has fallen out because of the cradle cap. i've tried oils and that works for a day or two, but the flakes come back.
has anyone else's baby had that? any suggestions?View Thread
Any advice? we plan on doing the same thing on the way back. drive through the night.View Thread
I had my Mirena taken out in June and we haven't used any type of birth control since. If we're going to end up needing fertility assistance again, we don't want to go too long with TTC on our own before we seek help. That's why we're jumping into OPKs right away.
With everything we went through TTC#1, I thought I'd be mentally/emotionally prepared to go through TTC again. Wrong. Two months in and I'm already a wreck each time my period has come. I'm back to keeping track of my period, ovulation, and the nights we try. I forgot how much fun this was. (sarcasm)
Wish me luck ladies.View Thread
So I thought maybe this was a one time thing where he just wanted to be close to me before he doesn't see me for the whole day. Well last night he only did a 3 hour stretch and woke up at 12:30am to eat. went back to sleep and woke up at 2:15am hungry again. fed him and put him down again. then he wakes up at 3:20am and he is wide awake. I feed him and finished a full bottle! usually in the middle of the night he only takes in 2-3 oz but he went full on 5oz and he was wide awake! so i thought maybe he'd fall asleep if i brought him to bed with me but he just wanted to play. actually he just wanted to roll over from his tummy to back. he gets a kick out of that. come 4am I tell DH to take him because I needed to be up at 4:45 to pump before I head to work.
So here I am now...exhausted. Sorry so long. I just needed to rant. It's like he knows I'm not going to be home so he stayed up. I hope this isn't going to be an every day thing. It's good to be back at work though. At least I get to be on the boards more often now. I miss my little man though. Even though he kept me up most of the night.View Thread
How much sleep are you guys getting and how old were your babies when they started sleeping more at night?View Thread
I don't have much to report, here at 16w4d. I go to my ob tomorrow for a checkup and heartbeat (no u/s), and then the all-important anatomy scan (and hopefully gender!) u/s is two weeks away, on July 25. I'll keep you all posted.
So far I'm feeling great, and still kind of in denial that I'm actually pregnant. I've started to show just a little bit, but can still wear all my normal clothes, which makes me feel like I'm not really pg. I'm looking forward to growing a little more, and then hopefully feeling some kicks soon, which I hope will be reassuring!
