Hi Kat, Just writing to let you know I was put on the patch awhile back 50, 75, mcg's. They did not help me to much pain wise, in fact they put me in more pain. The reason why I was allergic to it, strange isn't it?? I had more luck with the Methadone for my illness, everybody has a different pain relief then other's. I know how you feel i was in the same way a few weeks ago. Hang In there things will get better for you!!!!View Thread
Thank you Annette & Bren,Bren for caring, I feel like I finally found two caring people. Maybe I have to give the Oxycontin time to get into my body. I was on Oxy's a long time ago when I was with another Pain Doctor but he had me on 80mg's three times a day I have been on Methadone from the very beginning but this is the most I ever been on. I feel like I need more Oxy's then 40 mg's 3 times a day, I go back to him on the 8 of April. The only problem he only gave me 60 tablets for a month that does not make a month's time if you take 3 pills a day. So i will be out of them for a few day's and right now I cannot afford anymore problems in my life, but I guess I will have to grin & bear it for those day's. Once again I met two great people on this site, I will talk to you soon & let you know how I am making out. May God Bless You Both My Dear New Friend's, & I will be praying for you both & everyone here!!!!!!!! The PirateView Thread
Hi everyone new to site, I am also on Methadone for my RSD pain & Neuropathy pain's in my hand's & feet, & leg's. My Pain Doctor up my Meth to 6 tablet's 3x's a day, 10 mg's & he took me off Morphine Sulfate 30 mg's 4 times a day. Now he swicthed me to 40 mg's of Oxycontin 3 times a day so I am not feeling my med's like when i was on the morphine. Is Morphine stronger then the Oxycontin's????? I am looking for another pain mangement doctor this guy does not know what he is doing. He has to call another doctor to ask what to give his patients, he does not even know what i have wrong with me. My legs swell to twice the size that i cannot even put on shoe's or wear my pant's have to wear a size 11 slipper & baggy pants. I only weigh 100 pounds & this jerk has the gull to ask me what is the matter with me, sick isn't it??? I just found out i may have a tumor in my stomach or somewhere else in my body, so i have to be operated on in April sometime. It never ends it just goes on & on in my life, just lost my dad in Aug. Then my mom got sick right after him, I am trying to take care of her, but sometimes she acts like she does not care about me. I pray so hard for my higher power to end all of this at times but i am a fighter, it just hurts so bad that noone believes me. I am sorry to complain to all of you, please forgive me. I just wanted to ask one of you was i better off on the Morhine then the Oxycontin's the patch never helped me either. Kat if you ever want to e-mail me please feel free and any other's. God Bless All Of You I Will Be Praying For All Of You, Love, The PirateView Thread
