The MRI is good thing and very informative. Check out a book on Muscular Skeletal Retraining (i got mine thru Shambhala), also there is a yoga book called (something something) Scoliosis. There is a muscular skeletal retraining program in either or both books. BECAUSE once there is pain here there is a compensation there and so on and so on until the whole structure is off balance and painful. This I discovered by notiing that I pulled weeds (or any other activity) by bending from the waist. I do not recall the last time I bent at the knee and there is a lot of retraining I need to do, it is slow and it works. The other thing to consider is a TENS type machine. It can be hooked up to the neck, lower back, etc... and will help to intercept the pain info which, by now, is travelling in a rut and needs a new path or no path.
