David N. Maine, MD is the director of the Center for Interventional Pain Medicine at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. Maine graduated with a degree in neuroscience and completed his medical doctorate at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Maine completed his residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, served as chief resident in the department of anesthesiology and critical care medicine, and completed his advanced training in interventional pain medicine.
Board certified, Maine has received many honors and awards, including a Pain Medicine Fellows Grant from the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, a grant from the Glenn Foundation for Research in the Biology of Aging, and The Rochester Prize from the University of Rochester. He has authored several publications, abstracts, and book chapters and serves as an active member in the American Pain Society, American Society of Intervention Pain Physicians, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
The Center for Interventional Pain Medicine treats a myriad of disease processes including sciatica, spinal stenosis, facet arthropathy, osteoarthritis, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, postherpetic neuralgia, peripheral neuropathy, and cancer pain.
Committed to a collaborative approach, Maine works with patients and their physicians to implement effective pain treatment plans.
