Also knowing what you are having pain from on this end would help it could be something that does need attention? It would help knowing if what you are dealing with is something new or something preexisting? I know it is the Holiday weekend so i am guessing that is why you are thinking the ER route. I hope that helps with your question and i hope you find yourself out of severe pain soon!

Well i am not a doctor so this is just my opinion. If you want to try the full course of the chiropractor about 3 more weeks is what you are looking at if i read that right. I don't think Urgent Care will give enough of anything to get you through 3 weeks. You mentioned your old primary care is now doing only cosmetics. Do you think he or she would be willing to write a script for 3 weeks giving that you are trying to use the chiropractic route? I think it is unlikely but not impossible that a brand new primary care would write medication however it might be worth a try with them knowing you are going to the chiropractor. At the very least maybe either the old PC or new one could give you 1 months worth of a muscle relaxant or a sleeping pill since you seem to have more pain at night.
Other than that i can recommend a very nice moist heating pad made by Thermophore. It is electric and you just hold it on or off. There is no micro waving etc. involved, The moist heat has helped me through many things by taking a little edge off for years now. The only thing is they are not inexpensive.
I know you said you are taking over the counter medication to no avail....sorry. Maybe you could try one of the nighttime pain relievers with the sleep combo OTC if you haven't already tried. I'm just thinking if you could get some relief at night when things are really bad for you and some sleep wouldn't hurt you either. I also drink Sleepytime Tea with the little bear on the box.You might want to add honey it doesn't taste great but it does seem to work.
If you have to then go to the ER and tell them and maybe they can run a scan or something and find something that others have missed if you just can't take the pain anymore. I do know what that is like and i'm truly sorry you are going through this.

My husband had the same surgery about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Just like you it did help some issues. That being said he still has pain in the neck, shoulders, head, all through the back and down his arms and legs at times. He is never without pain sorry to say. He does see an orthopaedic doctor every two months. He is also still doing different types of therapy, etc.
They have him on pain medication both oral and topical.
From the doctors point of view he will live with pain probably forever. I know his pain is always precipitated by the stiffness then the stiffness causes more pain and becomes a vicious cycle.
Sometimes it might happen from a little movement and sometimes from nowhere. I did suggest that he have his doctors do an MRI about 6 months ago including his head and it showed what they already knew. That was good news however it means the pain is probably not going to improve and some days will feel worse than before the surgery.
I hope you have a good doctor and what you need for therapy and pain. This is just his story so you know yes it can and does happen to others. Like DfromSpencer said in his post let your doctors know so they can double check. We wish you the best of luck.

Well ovaries could still come in to play so something to consider. With the gastritis as you said drinking alcohol and spicy food would be a big no-no. I know it's easier said then done, however you really need to stick to it.....sorry. The pain from gas moving through your bowels can be painful. That's why i asked was it moving from one side to another. So yes this can be from your gastritis.
Right now you say the pain is dull if it gets worse please call your doctor or go to the hospital if needed. You have gastritis however you can have other things on top of that too. Sometimes when a doctor and patient get a diagnosis that fits the symptoms all sounds good, well as good as it can for being sick.
You know your body better than anyone if your symptoms continue or progress then don't hesitate to let your doctor know. There are other conditions that can fit that profile and if the doctor doesn't know he or she can't look further. Of course this is just my opinion, nothing more, trying to give you a little peace of mind, PLEASE remember this is the Internet and no one is able or allowed to give a diagnosis. I know sometimes you just want some information from people that have been through the same thing.
If you can keep me posted and i hope things get better for you soon!
Sending positive thoughts your way!!
Sincerely,
Debbie
