how nice to know someone actually cares.just so you understand I now have a good relationship with the very doctor that refused to see me.I was just letting every one know what a hard time I had getting to this point.my doctor has now found the right combo of meds to give me ,he has gotten my pain level down to 3 or 4 most of the time.I do feel your pain and I'm so sorry you have to go thu it.Thank you so much for putting me in your prayers,it feels so good to know a complete stranger is actually praying for you.I will also keep you in my prayers as well.I was glad you brought up the fact that a drug could show up after a long period of time,it reminded me what my gastro doc told me when he did a upper gi on me,he said I still had food laying in my stomach, which should have been empty.I guess that's what you call a slow metabolism.thanks again for your kindness. have a blessed and pain free day ElnaView Thread

Thank you for your kindness but I don't feel this is the place for me.I thought when I posted that I would get words of encouragement, instead I was made to fell worse because no one believed what I had to say, why?my post was picked apart and analysed as if I were on trial.I don't understand why I was not given the benefit of the doubt,I sure would not get on here and make up a story to get attention,I was pouring my heart out telling people what a hard time I had.and If you don't mind my opinion,I think there is someone on here that just likes to know it all. I will keep every one in my prayers! ElnaView Thread

my son was hurting in his back and went to the doctor.she gave him a steroid shot and a steroid patch,he started feeling better, but he started feeling strange and his leg started shaking,By the end of the evening he was shaking so bad his wife had to take him to the er,they thought he was having a reaction from the steroids and started an iv to push it out of his system.anyway to make a long story short, they told us he had a bacterial infection in his blood stream. They started him on antibiotics right away and he spent several days in the hospital. Now I'm wondering if he might have had tainted shot!View Thread

I don't mean to but in to your conversation, but this is exactly what happened to me when I first started seeing my pm dr .I thought it was ok to finish the bottle of darvocet I already had because it was prescribed to me.I didn't read that contract line for line I just signed the paper thinking I understood it.when I had the drug test and the dr got the results he almost stopped seeing me,but he gave me another chance I was so glad he did and thought I would never do that again until several months later I accidentally took one of my husband's lortab( long story already posted on here).and I received a letter from him telling me he would not see me any more!,but he would give me a number I could call to get the kind of help I needed!I was so hurt because I knew I had done nothing wrong and for him to think of me as a drug addict.I called the nurse and ask her what he found in the test that I had taken wrong and she told me they found a lortab. That was unbelievable, I couldn't figure it out how in the world did I take a lortab, this is where the long story comes in.anyway I just wanted to give you this information to try to prevent this from happening to you!have a very blessed and pain free day!View Thread

you can disagree until the cows come home!!I know what I took and I know the test came back positive!I I don't know why I feel the need to explain to you but I was coming home from work and reached my hand in my purse to get my pill bottle (forgetting my husband had put his in there when we were going on an outing)while I was driving and opened the bottle and took one .I didn't even realize I had made the mistake until the drug test came back positive and I had to wonder and keep trying to figure how I could have possibly taken a lortab.then it hit me what must have happened.I must say when I put my post on I thought I was posting on a support group page! yall are making me feel just as MOST of our doctors do! have a very blessed and pain free day!View Thread

I guess I didn't talk about the beginning enough for you to understand when I started seeing the doctor I had been on darvocett for years and I still had them in my system the first test.i know that darvocett and lortab are two different medicines! and when you say it was not possible to detect the lortab I guess what you are trying to say is I had taken more than one ?? I don't understand why this makes two of you that have not believed me when I say that I took one and it was a month and it showed up! I can tell by what you have written about doctors and your 11 years in pm that you are surely are not from the south! You should hear some of the awful stories I have heard from friends, neighbors, and strangers in doctor offices then you would know my reasoning for my opinion of most doctors.sounds like you have a very good doctor that will work with you on the cost of test,(mine I have to take twice a year) that is wonderful for you.you mention that my doctor had the right to dismiss me ,YES he sure did ! if you saw what I said in my post was what a hard time I had to get him to take me back, I didn't have a problem with that being policy,my problem was he didn't believe me. my doctor is very kind ,we have a very good relationship now and now that he has had time to get to know me ,he trusts me!By the why my spouse sees a different pm dr and has never had a drug test in 10 years.I hope you understand a little better where I'm coming from.we all have our opinion and are alowed to disagree.have a very blessed and pain free day!!!View Thread

MY LESSON?yes I am very glad he gave me another chance.I don't know what I would without him.your statement that a pill wouldn't show up positive after a few day is wrong! It was at least a month after I took the pill that I took the test.I now take a test every six months and it cost over 900 dollars each.Your statement that perhaps I had learned my lesson sounded as if you thought maybe I took the pill on purpose! The only lesson I learned was to look on the pill bottle before taking one, and how most dr's assume right off the bat that your a drug addict as do most people that are not in pain.thank you for your well wishes I hope your days will be pain free! elna.View Thread
