At that first visit, he went over my history and told me that the medications I am on, he would only give to a cancer patient. I am only on Narco three times a day and a muscle relaxer at night.
Needless to say, I was still searching for a new PM. My appt with the new pm is next thursday.
Is this normal for a dr to minimize pain because, one doesn't have Cancer? Thanks LitaView Thread

Anyways this past year I had epidural shots in my neck and in my low back (sciatica leg). They only seem to last for 'ME" a couple of month or less. It is a big relief to have less pain for a period of time.
That is just in my case and opinion. I am not a dr. I am just a painful happy camper named LitaView Thread

I have an appointment with a new pm and I am wishing that he will take over my medication management and this will end my search for somone to take my case that will do everything PM has to offer and is covered by my insurance finally.
I'm very interested in a stimulator and medication pump but, I am not sure if those are in the cards for me.
And above all, It would be nice if I could loose about 75 lbs and Ilbeit that will help my pain tremendosly (sp?)
Again Caprice, love the topic...LitaView Thread

So this past week I had to find new pain management. This last pain management took my insurances but, would only give injections no prescriptions. So its like I was back to square one. A year ago one of the hospitals pain management clinics denied me care but, I called them again this week. The woman said she would call my dr and get the records and I was to call the pm dr to send my records. I figure I would do that in a few days and I went on about my day. Before the day was out the lady called me and said that she has everything that she needed and the dr said I can come for a consult. We set that appointment up right then and there. She told me that the dr is aware that I needed medication management and he would go over my meds and make any necessary adjustments no problem.
I am really excited b/c all of the places I've been calling were not accepting patients who need medication management. It's like all they want to do is give you shots that give hardly any relief. And this dr I was just seeing said he would only give the meds I'm taking to a person with Cancer. I'm only on Norco 3x a day and a muscle relaxer at night.
Anyways I just love my medical dr's office they have really been the best and really seem to care about me...View Thread

Scar tissue and a infection in my lymph nodes. She is going to give me some different antibiotcs and we will keep an eye on it. No cancer is another blessing to count...Thank you for your concern. And I hope you are well and having a great day. LitaView Thread
