Hiya Kim,
I would say "how ya doin?, but you made that pretty clear, and I am soooo sorry!!! I wish I could help, but I don't know how I could? Wishing isn't much help, is it?
You know you can come vent here any ol time you like!!! If it at least gets it off your chest for a minute, you should do it all day long! LOL!!!
You do stretch your muscles all the time, don't you? I think in one of your earlier posts, you said you did? That is a biggie, especially if you work out, or sit for long periods of time. Stretch, stretch, stretch, that's my motto!
I hope you are enjoying the start of summer, I am! I have been out walking every sunny day, and sometimes the rainy days. I just have to dodge those pesky rain drops, that in itself, is a work out. Hahahaha!
I hope you can stay as pain free as possible this summer, so you can get out and enjoy it!!! Take care!

I have to go with what Beth said. No matter what it takes, I have to do what they want for what little relief I get. If not, I would go insane!!!
Its a shame its come to this, but many are getting worried about drug abuses. Doctors to lawmakers, all. I can understand the resoning behind this, but with the cost of everything going up all the time, how is one supposed to pay for everything, especially on a fixed income???
Something has got to give, and it had better be soon, or a lot of us will drown in a sea of debt!!!

When I was young, I found that the best thing to do was to rub the injection site vigorously!!! That helped the fluid to thin out, and infuse easier.
Otherwise, you could try Capsasin? That is about the most powerful topical numbing ointment I could find. It does have red pepper in it, so be warned. There are others, also. Just ask your Pharmacist.
Good luck!!!

So, let her be mad. YOU, should be mad as hell, at your daughter!!! What she did, is inexcusable!!! After all the hell she put you through, and after all the help you have given her, she does this to you, again? You should not, and I hope you do not, feel any sympathy for her? Not at this point! The only thing you should be feeling right now, is anger. Be angry at her, its ok! That you kicked her out till that spot opens, is one good thing to do!!! If I were you, I wouldn't even let her back in to use the rest room!!! SHE NEEDS HELP!!!
Your daughter needs help, and not the kind you can give her. She will go through this six month program, get out, get back with her friends, and do it all over, again! Like she said, she IS an ADDICT!!! It will probably take going to jail/prison, for a very long time, to get her to finally kick that habbit!!! I know, I've been there, done that!!! I was in prison for three months befor I even came to my senses. Another year, all of it in counseling, befor I stopped yearning for that drug. Each and every day, now, I thank all the powers that be, for sending me to prison!!! It saved my life! And it can save your daughter's life, also!!! So, do not fear her going to jail/prison!
I wish you all the luck in the world!!!

Sorry you are going thru this! You may have more than nerve damage? You may have bruised some bones, internally, and the doctors can't "see" it, so don't give you anything for that pain? Ask your P.C.P. if you could try a little pain killer along with the Lyrica, an see if that doesn't help? If it doesn't, make sure you tell your doctor, maybe they could try something else???
I wish you well!!!

To me, it sounds like the first doctors that gave the operation, screwed up? I can't believe they would remove two discs, and shave even more? Did they replace the lost discs with anything? If not, how was he able to stand erect at all? It sounds like he was using muscles, instead of bones, and that that, has done him harm? Squeezing the discs together, may have caused some nerve damage? There may be some mal-practice going on here???
You need to do what Seabreezen suggested!!! See that patient advocate. Ask them for some help. At least its a start.
I wish you the best of luck, and a speedy recovery for your hubby!!!

Hi Peggy,
NO!!! It is not normal!!! Pain and tingling in your left arm could possibly indicate a heart attack? Since you mentioned a disc, I will go with nerve damage. I have severe nerve damage on my whole right side, mostly in my R.Arm. So, again, not normal.
Like Grace said, you need to see a neurologist, and have him evaluate you. That would be your best bet. Then, if he finds you are a chronic pain patient, he can set you up with a Pain Mgmt. pec. for any further treatment, or meds you may need.
Hope this helps, and please keep us informed!!!

Wow, you do have a problem with sleep, eh? I do too! I haven't gotten more than four hours of sleep a night for 38 years now. I take Ambien, also, 10 mg.s per night. At first, they worked pretty well, for getting to sleep, but not keeping me there. My nerve damage has this intense burning feeling, and its truly hard to sleep.
I am going to ask my doctor if sominex might be an option? Perhaps with both, I may get some more sleep?
I completely understand how your mind won't quiet down! I had severe anxiety for awhile, C.B.T. didn't work for me then, either. Its so important to calm your mind, first. And when that won't happen, then its useless. I feel sorry for you, I really do!!!
Hope things get better for you, real soon!!!
