So, I was officially diagnosed with patella femoral pain about a year ago after years of suffering (My knee cap is positioned off center... born this way). I have been able to manage my pain through exercise and anti-inflammatories until last Friday.
Last Friday while I was at work, my right knee gave out. I was able to catch myself and sit for a little while. After about 10 minutes, I got up and was able to bear weight on it. Since then it has happened 3 more times. I have an appt w/ an Ortho this Friday (My family doc has been helping me with pain mgt since Ortho said there was nothing he could do at that point).
Has anyone else gone through this? I am just looking at what are my next steps are and is there anything else I can do to be proactive? I try to work out at least 3 times a week and am tring to lose about 70lbs as I know this would help immensly.
If I get told again that there is nothing that can be done, I will probably break down in the ortho's office. I am beyond frustrated at this point.View Thread
