Unfortunatley, blessedladyptl is right. There really isn't much you can do. The only thing that I would add to what she said is that you might try calling back and begging just to see if you can get them to change their minds.
How long have you been going there? If it's been a while, remind them of that. Also make sure to tell them how much pain you're in and that you can't live w/out your meds. Anything you can think of that might change their mind.
But probably, you'll just have to try to find another pm dr. and soon, before you run out of your meds.
I wish you the best of luck!View Thread

Hopefully there will be others write in with better avenues of help.
I hope you get the help that you're looking for and he gets some relief. Tell him to stay away from taking too many over the counter pain meds otherwise he may just add to his trouble.
Best of Luck!View Thread

I don't know how far away you are from the Cleveland Clinic but if it's not too far, maybe you could try there???? Maybe your local hospital could refer you to a good dr. that will take your insurance???
There has to be a dr. somewhere that you can go to....you can't be the only person needing a pain mgt. dr.
I completely understand your frustration with the "loss" of your prior life! I also understand you thinking about trying medicinal mj. I wish that were legal in my state of NC. I know it would help me.
I'm glad you have the incentive to be the best for your child.
Don't give up! Never give up! I will be praying for you!
Keep me up to date.View Thread

It such a shame that we must work so hard to get the correct med's even while we're so sick & in pain!
We should be treated better!View Thread

I am sooo glad that you seem to have gotten it all straightened out! I hope this new pm dr. works for you and you get your pain back under control. I'm sure your pain was an 11 if you were that sick with no pain meds!
Best of luck with both of your new dr.'s!View Thread

LOL!View Thread

I'm very sorry to hear about your problems and pain.
You might get some temporary pain relief by going to the ER and they also might be able to refer you to a local pain management specialist or doctor.
That would be my suggestion.
As much pain as you're in, even if it's possible to take any legal action, it's probably not worth your time.
Best wishes and I hope you find a new dr. soon!View Thread

You're probably going to have to see a dr. if the pain does not soon subside.
There are many things that can cause this kind of pain. I know migraines can and chiari malformation (which I have) can, but I know that there are many others.
If the pain persists, you definately need to see your dr. as it could be very serious.
Let us know how you're doing.View Thread

I would LOVE to be able to do those thing but cannot. I have even had to cancel doctor appts b/c I was not able to go.
I would like to be able to do volunteer work or ANYTHING other than on the couch or in bed but that's just not going to happen right now.
I do go places when my health allows but that's not often and even when it does, I pay for it later.
I just wanted you to know that sometimes no matter how much you want to, you still can't.View Thread

First of all, welcome to our community.
Second, it seems to me like if your current hospital referred you to another hospital, that you should have no trouble getting into see a pm doctor at the hospital that you were referred to.
Maybe I'm missing something?
It is awful how you can just be dropped by a doctor w/out any way to get the meds that you need!
But, I'm not clear as to why you can't get them from the hospital that you were referred to????
We all here do understand what you're going through and do want to help.View Thread
