I have chiari, fibro and a whole host of other problems that I won't go into right now.
Your neuro doc is wrong. Go to any chiari website and you'll see that there are a LOT of chiarians out there with chronic pain. You are not being a baby-give yourself a break. You have real physical ailments and real pain. Here is your validation!
If you haven't already, you need to join at least 1 chiari support group.
I also know what it's like to try to hide your pain and misery. You probably won't be able to hide it much longer-it's ok. Maybe it's time for them to know what your life is really like.
There is plenty of good info regarding chiari symptoms online. Maybe you should print some out and give it to your parents so they will stop judging you and be more understanding.
I wish you well and hope everything gets better for you!
Hello youdontlooksick2013! I know what you mean in regards to people saying that you don't look sick. we have invisible diseases and most people can't understand. I have some of the same issues. I hope you feel better soon.
I have posted on here before but am fairly new. I have now posted "my story" for anyone who's interested.
This has nothing to do with the original post, but I just wanted to say that I think we can all sympathize with the amount of pain that you are in and I truly hope you can get some help sooner rather than later. Best of luck to you!View Thread
Sorry to hear about what you're going thru! I got a little lost in your post, but it sounds like just a misunderstanding that can be cleared up.
Even though you picked your meds up on 12/1, you shouldn't have been out until 12/4 if you started the month on 11/5, right?
I'm also confused about how long you've been seeing this dr. You said you've been in the community for 6 yrs. now and have seen several diff dr.'s at this facility. If you've seen several dr.'s at the same facility, they should have your records to prove that you don't take more than you should.
I also think it would be a good idea to find a pain management dr. in your area.
I wish the best for you. I hope you can get all this straightened out. Keep in touch.View Thread
I agree 100% with your statement earlier about your problem is more with Dr.'s who aren't concerned about making sure their patients are getting the necessary pm's. I think therein lies one of the biggest issues. Unfortunately, that does happen. It happened to me. If your dr. is truly concerned about you and knows what you need, you really have nothing to worry about. Like you said, there are other med's out there. At least until you can get things worked out.View Thread
