I am so sorry to hear of the issues your daughter is having with her back. Being in pain all the time really sucks, and having to be on narcotics makes it even worse! I would STRONGLY suggest she try the neurostimulator implant for some major relief. I had one implanted 12 years ago & it has made a HUGE difference for me! You're correct about the lack of MRI after the implant, but they usually just do a CAT scan instead, which is just as effective. The more she can avoid narcotic pain killers, especially opiates, the better she will be! I have been on narcotic, opiate pain management for 14 years now, at a fairly low dose for the last 5 years, and due to financial reasons was unable to get in to see my pain doc recently & ran out of meds for the first time in 14 years. The withdrawal was ATTROCIOUS!! I would HIGHLY recommend trying the stimulator and pairing it with non-opiod pain meds!View Thread
