Hello, I was stabbed Friday night and received 7 staples with stitches in between the staples. I refused narcotic painkillers (wish I hadn't now).
There are no signs of infection but I believe have a hematoma by the laceration(like a golf ball around it) and it feels like I have one on the back of my calf (very hard when touched). When I stand I it feels like my calf is cramped like if you wake up in the middle of the night and its in a ball. I've been treating it with elevation, ibuprofin and ice. Is there any other treatment for this ( I dont want to go back to emergency room as I have no insurance). And if I am treating it correctly, can anyone give me a time frame til it gets better.
