The doctor doesn't care..... When you will be tested is a surprise..... It could be every time for 3 visits or once then maybe the next year..... My ins doesn't cover it and I wonder how long other's ins will cover it.....The ins co's may get tired of this expense..... I think I was one of the 1st insureds to be not covered because of a pre existing condition. It was back in 1990.....It took22 years for the GOVERNMENT to intervene.....View Thread
It is going to be a tough road but I am proud of you and anyone for going off anti depressants..... I understand some people need them but they are not for everyone.....Doctor's push them like take 2 Tylenol and call me in the morning.....There was a 20/20 segment (maybe another news source?) about children in Texas Children's services. That might be called something else in TX.....ALL children had to be medicated who were in the system.....The medication caused more problems......It took quite some time for a child, who found a permanent home, to wean off all the meds he was put on..... It was very sad to see this happening.... Good Luck!View Thread
People are foolish to believe Ameritox.....The info on THEIR web site is THEIR'S.....Corporations make stuff up to sell their product.....Like bundling mortgages and selling them.....Like the oil industry wrote the science on fracking waste water/brine and that pumped into the ground it is safe......Merck and how safe Voixx was and didn't cause heart attacks......Like Sketchers shaped your calves.....It doesn't matter what industry it is.....People need to be aware these corporations are out to make money.....Not look out for patients/consumers.....People tend to think the medical community would never harm them....False.View Thread
Thank you for your links.....I do not live in Florida but I have family there.....From the News reports I have heard I have concluded Florida is the biggest problem.....The pain mgt docs in shopping centers and 2 cars from West Virginia.....4 people in each car pay the doc and get scripts.....They go back to WV and sell them.....WV and Ky appear to be the next 2 states for the biggest problems.....This is what I have gotten from multiple news sources and one was more indepth.....Of course someone out there may find that another state, maybe in the last 6 months, has become a bigger problem that FL.....After all this indepth news piece I had seen was 1 to 1-1/2 years ago. Then you can come back on and tell me I am wrong!.....View Thread
What has everyone here been charged, by the lab, for their drug tests?..... It will be on your EOB (explanation of benefits)...... Please type the Total Charge and then the Benefit Payment.....If there is a contract between your insurance they do not have to pay the Total Charge.View Thread
Someone had to pay the Drug Lab......The Florida House and Senate made this law......I think it may have been a trial or it became a bust I don't remember......The cost does depend on what tests they had done.....I used the fee I was charged to calculate.....I am sure everyone in that office was charged the same if no close to it.....I talked with an insurance person and they have an insured who pays $1,500.00 for urine and blood work every time she goes.....You talk about free market....You are corrrect that anyone can charge any fee the like and if we don't like it go somewhere else.....Where do you go?....Try another doctor HAAAA!.....It is called Doctor Shopping......Not every one does get to pick their own doctor here.......Kaiser Permanante doc's get paid not to send their patients for tests.....I won't get into that because a friend died of a 2nd bout of cancer 6 months ago......Maybe he would have died but he souldh have been able to get help at his 1st complaints not pushed aside for 6 months.....Laws do appear because Mr Big says so.....Now everyone knows where to buy stocks only I cannot contribute to their wealth as i am on a fixed income.View Thread
