" Acetaminophen may not be as safe as previously thought, with larger doses and long-term use linked to increased risk of health problems, a new report contends.
Best known in the United States under the brand name Tylenol, acetaminophen is the most widely used painkiller in the world, the study authors said in background notes.
It is the World Health Organization's front-line treatment for pain, and is considered safer than nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin and ibuprofen, the researchers said."
"Heavy use of acetaminophen is associated with kidney disease and bleeding in the digestive tract, the paper reports. The medication also has been linked to increased risk of heart attack, stroke and high blood pressure, the study authors noted.
One cited study even showed that overuse of acetaminophen can increase a person's risk of early death as much as 60 percent, the study authors found."

Here is some information on muscle strains in the thigh that you may be interested in. If the pain is coming from the front of your thigh it may be a strain in your quadriceps muscles -- your quadriceps and hamstrings (in the back of your leg) work to straighten and bend your leg, like in the lunges you were doing when you felt the pop. The RICE method (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) is a good treatment strategy and there is some information in the link above. Here is an overview on carpal tunnel syndrome that you might find helpful. Carpal tunnel can cause tightness, pain, weakness, or numbness in the hands and fingers (some people have pain in their arm between the hand and elbow as it seems you do). The article in the link above also says that you may first notice the symptoms at night.

I am so sorry that you are experiencing such extreme pain. I would suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor if you are still having these symptoms. While Bells Palsy can be accompanied by pain, usually behind the ear on the affected sign, it is a good idea to see your doctor to make sure that this pain is not indicative of something else. He/she may also be able to offer you some sort of treatment option to lessen your pain.
