I had a Ct scan for my abdominal pain. This was in the report, does anyone know what it means? Th dr just said the Ct scan was normal and didn't go into detail.
FINDINGS: Bibasilar linear opacities, likely atelectasis. Heart
size normal. Incidental note is made of prominent opacification of a
left anterior chest wall vein as well as bilateral internal mammary
veins.
Thanks for your help.View Thread

Hi! I have had upper left abdominal pain do the last few years. It feels like it goes thru to my upper back too. I have had an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Both were normal. I had pancreatitis about 16 years ago. I thought that maybe it was that again but the drs say no. Any ideas what it could be? The drs are now thinking IBS and scar tissue.
I also still have neck and shoulder pain from a car accident 5 years ago. Lots of pain all the time in my left shoulder. Ice helps a little but still in pain all the time.

Thanks Annette for the reply.
My dr just did a bunch of blood tests to try to find the cause of my symptoms. I will find out the results tomorrow.
And then off to the sleep doctor on Friday. Not looking forward to the long drive though.
I am sure I will hurt even worse.
Thanks again for your reply.View Thread

Thanks so much for your replies.
What kind of tests would the dr need to do to figure out if it is fibromyalgia?
Hoping to find out more when I go to see the neurologist. Also have a follow up appointment with my regular doctor to go over my blood test results.
I will check out the other message board and website.
ThanksView Thread

I have had chronic pain for many years. I was in a car accident in 2007 which caused me to have neck and shoulder problems. I had neck surgery in 2008.
For the last couple of months, I have had the normal neck and shoulder pain. But now I also have pain from head to toe. My whole body hurts all the time. It hurts to touch anywhere on my body. I also have extreme fatigue. I am having trouble staying awake at work. I tend to fall asleep as soon as I get home from work.
Now for the last couple of weeks, my hands and feet are tingly most of the time.
I also have had chronic diarehea too. But that has been going on for about 8 months so I am not sure if that is connected or not.
I saw my regular doctor and she is sending me to a Sleep Specialist and a Neurologist and a GI specialist.
She wasn't sure what is causing these symptoms.
I think that it sounds like it might me fibromyalgia. Does anyone who has it think this is what it sounds like? Or any ideas (for me to discuss with my dr) of what it sounds like it could be?
Hoping one of these doctors will be able to help me. Thanks for any suggestions anyone has.View Thread

I have had my headache constantly for 19 +months now. It never goes away. I have seen my PCP and a neurologist. I had a MRI and it was fine. I have tried many medications and nothing has worked.
I have had a migraine for the last 3 days (not uncommon for me). The part that is different is this time I am having a tingling feeling in the back of my head that is constant. Then I also have the feeling like you do when you are falling (but that feeling comes and goes). I was wondering if these new symptoms would mean I should go to the dr. Or if this is just a normal part of the headache?
Thanks JessicaView Thread

When I had the neck surgery, I had to wear the hard collar for 12 weeks. The first 6 weeks it was 24/7. Then after that I was allowed to take it off to sleep but had to wear it all the rest of the time.View Thread
