I'm the guy who a few months back posted that I had my foot amputated due to RSD. My doctors thought I was crazy, I was sent to metal health professionals and even a few in here thought I had a log of courage to try this procedure I was told wouldn't work. I'm happy to say that after 10 years of suffering with pain in my left foot, I have no left foot and I feel a whole lot better ! The first couple of months were difficult, as I did have phantom pains. It's now been eight months since my surgery, phantom pains are rare but do happen on occasion and I feel a thousand percent better. I'm 33 year old, I am wearing my temporary prosthesis right now. My daughters love I can walk more than ten feet without having to sit down because I hurt so bad. I still have hip and back problems that were due to 10 years walking the way i did. I do not regret it, I'd do it again. I haven't posted in many months due to the fact that I feel so much better, I apologize but I was to busy enjoying my new life than to come back here. I do feel bad because though because some might want to ask me questions. I have had many ask me questions as I left my email address on the post last time. While I can't guarantee that amputation would work for you, its worked great for me. The pain in my ankle I couldn't bare any longer. I feel great. To those of you on the message board that have told people their crazy for considering it, well your crazy for not considering it cause I feel great. I had enough balls to try it, knowing it possibly wouldn't work but it did. I didn't sit here and complain to others "oh you don't want that." If I didn't want it I wouldn't have had it done. To those of you out there considering it, I feel great. I can't promise you will, I prayed to our Lord Jesus and I had it done and I feel awesome. Mud in the face to many doctors and people who said it wouldn't help. Please feel free to email me email@example.com and i'll be glad to talk with you regarding my experience, difficulties and so forth that many of you wonder about. I'm in Texas by the way if anyone is wondering. I'm off to go WALK without the PAIN in my stupid ANKLE which is now either ASHES or SHARK FOOD but not my problem anymore View Thread
