Yes my Husband doe's understand,he is usually pretty good but when stressed,Watchout!!!!The Boogie Man comes out!!!
Seriously though,I'm glad you understand ,hopefully others will too and share their thoughts!
I hear how some can change the way they handle pain just by thinking or I guess trying Medatation!I try but my mind wanders too much!

Thanks for your reply!I definatly agree that our attitudes and the way we think,I'll say allow ourselves to think make a difference!
Its not always easy to think positive but it really makes my day alot better and makes me a better person!I'm sure i'm easier to be around too!You know ,not always negative and thinking of myself and how much I hurt!!!!
I just recently had an agrument with my Husband about something and He said something like "I'm tired of how neggative you are !"It really made me think!
Gotta go ,Latter,77graceView Thread

I have been having one of my really bad Pain days, you know ,the kind where it feels like I just can't hang in there and wish I could just sleep through ll this pain and forget it all!
But then I rremember all the times that when I feel really bad and hurt so much that if I call someone else who I know is also suffering I start to feel better, and Viola.I do!!!Sure I still hurt but not as bad at all and I belelive that my attitude can make me or Break me!
Can you relate???
Thanks,77graceView Thread

Sorry that I have'nt replied till now,I was just browsing through and saw this!
Has anyone heard from MPathia?Unfortunatly I don't know the whole story of the post but I get the Idea, your so right ,we can choose to get involved in the negative side or step out of it and move onto something that helps us smile and help others!
Today is a really bad one for me,PAIN wise I mean,I am thankful though that they are not always like this!!!
Take care,77graceView Thread

Well its been 5 months since you posted this so I don't even know if you ae still with us !!!I realy hope so because you seem to be drowning in suffering and Pain! You know, there are times when I have felt the same way but thank God,Literally,I am doing better !!!Not so much with the Pain but its how I look at it and try to deal with it!
I started to notice that when I'm really hurting alot and if I reach out to someone I know who is also suffering and listen instead of talk about me ,I eventually start to feel a little better!
I'm not trying to be insesitive because I too suffer and can see how bad you have it,so Please know I'm here for you!
I hope your still here! Are you feeling any better???Any new treatments or meds??

I'm sort of familar with the pain pump, but I realy don't understand how it would work better than the Methadone I am currently taking? Also muscel relaxers and such!Do you like one mucsel relaxer better than others/ also why??
I am taking Zanaflex for that and valium for muscel spasm and stress!
I am waiting for my husband to get home and help me put on my new Tens unit and see how that works!
Have a great one.77graceView Thread

Wow,you certainly have been through alot of surgery and have alot of knowledge,I think its great that you care and share!!
I have had 2 major neck surgeries and I have alot of scar tissue too!I know the 2nd surgery, part of it was to clean up some of that! What a mess, the first surgery was much more invasive but I had to stay in the Hospital 2 weeks after the 2nd one!I guess it was something to do with spinal fluid?
I I did not know that the scar tissue causes that much pain and is that damageing!
Have a great weekend 77graceView Thread

Anyway ,I'm in a bad spot!!I get really bad headaches and hav for over 30 yrs.Thnkfully they are not as bad as before where I had them for 4 days ,threw up etc,
But ,they always start in my neck where I have tumors growing on the nerves on my spine!!!I use imitrex along with zanaflex and then have other pain meds for neck and back! But I'm in a cycle now because I'm having rebound headaches and I don't know how to get through them without something!!!
In the old days befor Imitrex and I was Sober I just tuffed it out but now it seems impossible!
Any idea's would be helpfull!
