I'm sorry to hear you have not been able to use it, it has worked beautifully for me.
I've never had to download any coupons for it, so I don't know how to help you on that. Every time I've used it for online purchases I go to the Upromise website, find the store I'm interested then click to shop through their link. The computer link somehow triggers them to look for my credit card number when I complete my order. I have ordered numerous times (I live in the middle of nowhere so it's easier to shop online) and I have always gotten my credit.
I have never used any coupons or had to enter any codes, just shop through the link on their site. At restaurants it's automatic and they even figure in the tip when giving you back your percentage.
The gas credit that I mentioned is automatic when you fill up at Exxon/Mobil with your registered card the only catch is you have to purchase at least 20 gallons within one calendar month. Even at a penny a gallon I have earned over $10 at Mobil because I almost always fill up there.
Oh and if you eat at McDonalds and use an Archcard you get 5% back.View Thread
I forgot to mention it's free to sign up and it's really relatively low maintenance, you just watch the money add up. I originally signed up for it to try and pay off my own student loans, but fortunately I got those paid off before I got enough built up in Upromise to transfer. So now I have all that to go into DS 529.View Thread
Hopefully you all already know about UPromise, but I was just checking my account and thought it would be a good thing to add here.
It's a great way to start (or continue) saving money for you kids college fund. You go to the website www.upromise.com and sign up. You link your credit cards and grocery cards. Then when you shop at the stores with linked grocery cards, or online with your registered credit card, or eat at a participating restaurant you get a little percentage back from participating companies. Once you bank a certain amount you can transfer it into your 529 savings account.
Your friends and family can also register and bank money for your account too.
I have gotten a lot back from target.com. Diapers.com is on there too. If you fill up at Exxon/Mobile gas stations you get a penny per gallon when you use a registered card. I mostly don't get too many grocery credits since my local stores don't participate, but I'm sure if you shopped at a participating grocery store you would rack it up really fast. I have been participating since 9/2005 and I have already earned back $156.View Thread
