There's nothing wrong with parents showering with their young children, same or different gender. At all. It's completely normal in most cultures; we're just more uptight about nudity here. It's probably best to not intervene in such things. Says a Dr. Vincent Iannelli from about.com: "While this can be a little bit of a controversial topic, most people would think that it is fine for a toddler to take a bath or shower with either parent or with another child of the opposite sex. Many parents stop this practice during the preschool to early school age years, but exactly when you stop has more to do with how a parent and child feel about the issue more than anything else.
