Has anyone else gone this long breastfeeding to sleep and how was the battle to change? How did it go for those that stopped swaddling? Any little pointers that may make our process just a little easier? TIAView Thread

2. Size 2
3. Varies, mostly 3-6 mos
4. Can't think of a specific moment, I'm just enjoying them all.
5. Sucking on her toes. Daddy shouted "grab the camera!" She had found her feet about a week earlier and is now sucking on her big toe.
6. We tried rice cereal with a spoon at 13 weeks, then 15 weeks. I'm planning on trying again this week sometime. So far she just pushes it out with her tongue and makes a fantastic mess. She's been interested in what I'm eating since about 12 weeks, so I give it a try once in a while. I breastfeed, so I haven't mixed the cereal into a bottle.
7. The holidays will be so much fun!
8. She never lets me put her down! Same as a previous poster, I can get her to fall asleep in my arms but she knows when I lay her down for a nap and she freaks. We have a nighttime routine with swaddling so she'll stay asleep most of the night thank heavens.View Thread

Now that you say it, Rachel's favorite toy is her hands too. I'm still working on keeping the thumb out. She mainly just chews on it, but I do catch her sucking it occasionally. She'll take her paci when she's tired still thank goodness.
Yes I love our mat leave in Canada. It's so amazing to stay at home for a year on unemployment and enjoy baby. As mad as I was at the prenatal process, I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Rachel is extremely vocal, and babbles back when asked a question. She rolls front to back and will shuffle on the floor on tummy or back because of so much kicking. She's starting to laugh a short laugh, almost from the belly.
My husband and I can't decide who she looks like. We get conflicting comments from friends and family.
So far, favorite is the swing and bumbo. She was sitting in the bumbo by 9 weeks with a little support. She now sits in it while we eat meals and is quite happy.
I'm on my one year mat leave, and have to decide next May if I'm going back.View Thread
