My DS isn't that picky but I do love being creative with food so thought I would throw out some ideas. Regarding proteins.. will he eat turkey, ham or bologna lunchmeat, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, fish sticks, pizza (with pepperoni or sausage). You said he doesn't like vegetables... have you tried putting cheese sauce or ranch dressing on them? My DS really loves that. If he likes spaghetti with spaghetti sauce, I chop up zucchini, squash, green pepper and onion and sauté with the meat then add the sauce and let it simmer. My DS doesn't even know there are vegetables in it and he loves it. Also with quesadillas you can hide shredded chicken or vegetables in it. You could also buy Boost or Ensure for him to drink to get extra vitamins and protein. Does he take vitamins?View Thread

No, the sickness is about the same. My DS doesn't get sick often either... well except for colds every now and then but he was like that before. As far as rested... they told me he would be more rested, but I don't think it's made a difference. However, he is scared to sleep in his room so he doesn't sleep well.View Thread

I would have them removed. He is so young that he will heal very quickly. My DS had his out last summer when he was 3 years old. I was so worried for him regarding pain after the surgery. He totally surprised me. He was a little cranky and clingy but that's about it. After the 2nd day he was running around playing like it never happened! His were big and always caused him to choke on his food to the point he would throw up. So glad we got them out.View Thread

I am very familiar with your situation as my DS has been doing this for almost 2 years now. I've posted on here about it too. He is getting better though. Have you ever asked her why she doesn't stay in her own bed? I'm sure every reason has a different answer of how to handle it. My DS says there are monsters in his room. We have tried EVERYTHING- nightlights, dreamlight pillow, stuffed animal, "monster spray", lava lamp, leaving the hallway light on, etc. He would get so worked up and crying, not wanting to stay in his bed, that sometimes he would puke
. When he does stay in there, I really praise him and make it a big deal, and also make a point to tell people while he's present so it makes him feel proud. I let him sleep with my husband's big LED flashlight and he thinks it's cool. Good luck!View Thread

My DS usually doesn't have any problem taking medicine. However, the last time he was sick he had to take a really nasty tasting medicine and started refusing to take it. I mixed a little juice with it in the medicine cup and stirred it around. He didn't even know it was medicine (from the taste). If it's just the site of the medicine, I'm not sure how to get her to take it.View Thread

I thought I would share this link. It has some really good snacks for toddlers. I know my son eats constantly and loves peanut butter and cheese, but we all know what happens when you eat too much of that!! So I was searching for some different ideas for snacks.

The gifts from DH and I are marked from Santa. We put them under the tree Christmas Eve night after DS goes to bed. We don't get him separate gifts from just us. All presents are wrapped also... well unless they are huge like a Power Wheels or something.View Thread

I'm all for getting a second opinion. My son was born with a broken left arm due to the pressure of the birth canal on his bones. We did not know this until he was a couple months old and here's why... At the NICU (he wasn't in NICU for the broken arm but for being born a month early and underdeveloped lungs and eating skills) the doctor said he probably pulled some ligaments in his shoulder while being born. They had me do physical therapy on him 3 times a day, stretching and turning his little arm all different ways. He would scream bloody murder and it just hurt me so bad. After we got out of the hospital we went and saw a specialist at a children's hospital. That doctor said in fact he had a fracture and to stop the physical therapy immediately because it was hurting him! I felt so awful that I had been hurting my baby by following the orders of the NICU team. So I would definitely get a second opinion.View Thread
