Mon: Chicken with peanut noodles (kind of like pad Thai I think) Tues: Barbacoa pork in the slow cooker Wed: Salmon and veggie Thurs: DH's "graduation" so a quick dinner before we meet up Fri: Free night
Let me know if you want any of the recipes. I've never made the first two, so I'll let you know how they are.View Thread
I would think if you stop putting him in diapers or pull-ups altogether (except at night), he would learn to pee elsewhere. I wouldn't worry too much that he can hold it as long as he is. DD can do the same thing, and actually sleeps 12 hours without going. I asked the pedi about it and she said as long as it doesn't appear to hurt when they pee, you are good to go. But, that said, I'm not a doctor.
I don't have a boy so I'm not sure what else to suggest. What about doing the Cheerios in the toilet thing and making a game out of trying to hit them?View Thread
Mine is reversed. MIL almost always sends me cards and my mom very rarely does. Our anniversary is also around the same time though, so it could be just too much to send two cards, I don't know.View Thread
Will he go on walks with you, where you might see people but you just walk by them? What about going to the park and just sitting at a distance without him having to interact with other kids? Will he go to the library not during story time, like just to pick out books?
All I can think of is to keep putting him in situations where he would see kids but not HAVE to interact with him and maybe that would help desensitize him? Has he always been like this or is this a more recent development?View Thread
He is hit or miss. He made me cry one Christmas, but then he's cool other times. He drinks too much, and SIL was keeping close tabs on him while they were here. I'm thinking he was sober and that's why he was being such a jerk. I am very glad that's over and hopefully he won't be around again for a long time!View Thread
I'll be Debbie Downer because someone has to be right?
FIL was here and he was horrible!! He was disagreeable and generally moody. Yesterday he kept rolling his eyes at all of us and never played with DD the whole time he was here. I have never been so glad to see someone go AWAY!!! When he left, DH turned to me and asked, was he as bad as I think he was? I just burst out laughing.
And that concludes the month of family visitation. Ack!View Thread
