Oh Jackie, I totally understand. Shae has been acting the same way and some days I feel like I'm going to lose my mind because I'm so frustrated. She's started talking back, spitting at us if she's mad, etc. I've just cracked down with the discipline and have quit giving chances because I really think she was pushing to see how far I'd let it go because often, I was distracted with the baby and just told her to stop, rather than actually doing anything about it. It seems like all day she'll act up and then out of no where she'll be super sweet and loving and it just crushes me and makes me feel SO mean. I feel like I don't even know this child most of the time because it really isn't like her. I hope it gets better for both of us soon. This is not fun and I hate feeling like all I do is yell at her.View Thread
Hey everybody! Hope you're all doing good. Shae is doing well and is adjusting to life as a big sister. Avriana is 3 weeks old today. She is the easiest baby and already sleeps for 5-6 hours for the first stretch of the night then for another 3 or so hours after that. I've got three more weeks of maternity leave left. It feels so strange to be home and not working. I've never been off work for this long. I'll try to check in more often but it's tough with two kiddos to find the time to get online. Once I'm back to work, I'll be on every day. View Thread
I'm so sorry you're going through this right now. I don't have any experience with parents separating. I hope you can find your own place and find a schedule that works well for all of you. All you can do is the best you can do. I know it's not what you had planned but your boys will be just fine. Good luck to you during this difficult time!View Thread
My DD is still harnessed in a carseat. We plan to keep her that way for as long as possible. We have A Graco Nautilus that you can harness them up to 65 lbs. I know the laws vary by state but I believe the minimum recommendation is 4 years and 40 lbs. I know a ton of people who switch their kids to boosters sooner than that but for me personally, I want to wait as long as possible just because they're that much safer when they're able to either RF (at a younger age) or be harnessed (at this age).View Thread
Have you tried running water in the sink while he's sitting? That helped my DD to release when she was first learning. I'd also push the liquids so that he just can't hold it that long. Once he gets the hang of it and it doesn't seem so new and scary, I'm sure it will probably get better.View Thread
When it gets hot out, we do a lot of stuff in the crockpot and on the bbq. I've been wanting shishkabobs lately but don't have the energy to make them and DH keeps forgetting to buy more propane for the bbq.
Stuff I like to make in my crock pot chili soups (potato, chicken taco, corn chowder) Tatertot casserole spaghetti sauce roast with potatoes and carrots chicken and rice
I have been meaning to try a lasagna in the crockpot too but just haven't gotten around to it.
My cousin makes pizzas on her bbq. I've never tried it but it seems like it would be good. I believe she puts tin foil down and just tosses them on there until everything is ready.View Thread
