Reasonable is being a bit generous. She's aware of what I do but sees no need for compensating for it. Things wouldn't get worse but I'm leaning more and more to having this talk while I'm on maternity leave. May make her see what I actually do when I'm not there....Who knowsView Thread
I have been at my current job for over 7 years. I did leave briefly but was asked back with an offer I couldn't refuse. Currently we have four new employees that I am in some stage of training (not part of my job description). I also handle all aspects of the office and cover it while my boss is not here (also not in my job description). Now, with my boss on vacation, she has asked me to break down her credit card charges/statements into categories so her CPA has an easier time and when my boss gets back in the office she "doesn't have that to deal with." (Again, not in my job description at all...i hate accounting!). I don't have any issue doing these extra duties if I was compensated well for them. But she never made any offer to make that an insentive. Normally we have yearly reviews/raises in the summer, about July or August. Not a problem. But this year I will be on maternity leave and will miss this time period. She won't do mine before I go and will conveniently "forget" to be prompt about it when I return. We've talked before about a pay increase (I get paid hourly) but she always says that since she is paying my health benefits ($275/month) that she can't really give me a raise. I am the only full time employee. I guess my question is how to I bring up this subject now without getting regected once again. I am frustrated with what my responsibilies have snowballed into without a pay increase. But yet I'm trapped in my position because I couldn't make what I make now concidering what my job title really is. That was terribly long, I'm so sorryView Thread
Im in central PA. Yesterday was the same deal. The morning was cold and dreary although no rain. Then by later afternoon it was about 70. No records broken I know of but still quite nice. I'm wondering if this is all a tease. But the 10 day says nothing below 65. HrmView Thread
That is very strange. Avery spikes a random fever sometimes but's by no means consistent. Seeing the Ped is the best thing you can do at this point. I can't imagine it's good to be giving him medication on such a regular basis.View Thread
How was everyone's weekend? Anything fun or exciting for St Patty's day? Avery seems to believe St Patrick's Day and St Patty's Day are two different holidays. Haha. Now try reasoning with her that they are the same.....
Pretty uneventful weekend for us. Hit the local Sam's Club (warehouse) and stocked up on a bunch of stuff and got DF all his "business supplies." Then cleaned up and did laundry. The ususal. Did get out for a while Saturday and Sunday. Walked to our local Rita's since they are now open. It's just was to convenient. Haha.
Any menu plans for the week? Monday: Pasta primavera. Tuesday: Personal pizzas-hopefully on the grill (first day of spring and Free Rita's day!) Wednesday: Steak salads Thursday: I work late....so dinner isn't my job. I would guess DF will make some kraft mac n' cheese haha. Friday: Chicken breasts of some sort. Marinated and grilled. Roasted potatoes. Veggie of choiceView Thread
I agree that tiredness is a large factor. aver will be 5 in July so she's even younger but I've been noticing some of the same issures. It's when she hasn't had a good nights sleep. And is primarilly a problem in the morning or evening. And I too had been slacking off on our nighttime routine because I was too tired (lazy) to enforce it. I really notice the tantrums when I've been too lazy in the bedtime routine. My MIL tells me children have "terrible twos" every two years. Haha. I sure hope not. Otherwise it's going to be a long road ahead of us! Good luckView Thread
Here in central PA it's $4.09 for the premium. I drive an Audi so I'm required to use that stuff. Grrr. I think the cheep stuff is $3.79ish. At this rate I'd be better off staying home rather than drive to work all week!View Thread
Old navy, motherhood maternity, and gap all have longs/talls. But of course you have to order them online. I understand your issues. I had the same problem when I was pregnant with Avery. Now (I'm 24weeks) stores seemed to realize that tall people get pregnant too! Congrats!!View Thread
