The second problem was not listening and not sitting still in circle time and at lunch. The teacher just wanted me to talk to her about it but really we have some of these problems at home - knowingly telling a lie, not sitting still and only listening when she wants to. She knows how to do these things and didn't have this problem in last years class. Any tips or suggestion to get her to behave better? What do you do when you kid lies like this? (DS never really did that.) TIAView Thread

DS (7 years old/1st grade): goes to be about 9:30 and is up at 6:30 for school. (9 hours) - on weekends he sleeps until 7:30
DD (4 years old/Pre-K): goes to bed around 9:30 (if we are lucky) and is up at 7:30 for school (10 hours) On weekends she would sleep until 8 or 9 if her brother would let her.
Neither child has napped since they were 22 months old so if they take a nap it is because they are not feeling well.View Thread

Anyway, I am not much help as DS is picky and I pretty much send the same thing every day. (Jelly sandwich, pretzels, yogurt, chocolate milk - sometimes grapes or a pack of gummies as a treat)
Sorry, Sarah but my picky eater pretty much won't eat anything on your list. Even my non-picky eater (DD) won't eat most of that stuff and I am more worried about what I will send in her lunch when she starts taking it.View Thread
