Took DD for her well child visit and she is 50% in height and 30% in weight. She weighs 33 pounds. The dr. said as long she is eating healthy and growing she is fine. It's such a hassle to get her to eat. It's a nightly battle with dinner. She takes a couple bites and says "I'm done". We can usually get her to eat most of it after a negotiating process. It's so frustrating. She is the snack queen. All she wants to do is eat snacks all day.
Her speech has improved dramatically over the past year. It's just amazing to see her progress.
Hey Deb- Good luck with the potty training. It really is true what they say about boys and girls. Ryder wasn't fully potty trained till he was almost 5 and Ryleigh was fully potty trained just after she turned 2.
Hope you are doing well. It is really slow here now. I check in every now and then. I haven't seen Steph on in a long time. Do you know if she's doing ok?View Thread
This summer just flew by (as usual). DS starts 2nd grade on the 4th. His school "loops" teachers so he has the same teacher as he had last year. I'm not really crazy about this system, but if he was really unhappy with his teacher I could get him moved. He likes her so it's ok.
Work has been super busy. I joined the PTA and have been busy getting ready for our open house which went very smoothly and I had a lot of fun.
It was an absolutely gorgeous summer here in the pacific nw. We had the one trip to see my dad at the end of June and a weekend at the shore. Other then that it was low key but we still had fun.
I think we are going to have to start having dinner around 5:30. Last year DS had lunch at 11:30 and DD at daycare had lunch around 12. DD would get a little snack (2 cookies) around 3:30. They are both usually starving by dinner time.
Since DH hours changed he is home by 2:30, he can have dinner ready by 5:30 the latest.View Thread
It was a nice weekend. Saturday was a baseball game and then after that we met a friend and her kids at the local farmers market and walked around and let the kids play. It was so sunny and hot it felt so good.
DH had to work this weekend and he got up Sunday like he was going to work but when I came downstairs later that morning he was still home...surprise, he took the day off to spend with me for Mothers Day. He made a great breakfast, we went to church and then we took the kids to see The Croods. We came home and I found about 45 minutes of quiet time to read my book. It was a nice relaxing day.View Thread
