I get off between 4-4:30. Thank goodness for DH - he helps a lot. He is either off work by 3pm or getting up from sleeping from the night shift so he can start dinner while I am getting the DC from daycare. The nights he is on 3-11pm I try to do quick meals, like ham & rice, fish sticks, toasted cheese. But we usually eat around 5:30-6 & start baths around 7 with bedtime from 8-8:30pm.View Thread
I let them wake up lounge in bed a few min, go pee & get dressed. I even let her pick what she wants to eat but she usually tells me she's full before half of it is gone. They go to all day K so no morning snack. They eat Lunch at 11 & have afternoon snack at 2:30.
So the kids stared K this week & as I feared it is a struggle to get DD to eat breakfast. I just don't think she wants to eat right after getting up. The bad things is she needs to eat then & she has no other time. She can't eat on the bus & she gets to school too late to eat there. Any tips? I just don't want her to be dragging by lunch time.View Thread
The first day was great and not too many tears from me! Although I still tear up now & then(does that go away?). I was kind of depressed for a few days, I slacked on my eating & exercising & kind of let myself wallow in it. It is sad that we can no longer so whatever we want. But I am feeling better about this new chapter of their lives that we are beginning.
I think they are really tired though. DS had a grumpy attitude yesterday when I picked them up from daycare just as they got outside to play. Then a total meltdown when he forgot his backpack & lunch bag in the car & I made him go back after it. wow it was bad, tears & all. He says there's not enough time to play in his day now.
I think DD is tired too but she is faring well with keeping it in control. She says K is fun! Although we have met the bus at school & walked them to their room for 3 days this week. She is having a harder time saying good bye, has tears & is clingy. We are telling them they have to go all by themselves on Tues. I hope they do ok.View Thread
Welp I feel off the wagon somewhat this week. Didn't exercise Sat-Tues. But I got back on on Wed. I get up at 5-5:30am now(it's really dark then!) & do the treadmill or some burpees along with the treadmill. I am feeling better since I got back on the wagon. I think I was kind of depressed about the DC starting K.View Thread
