I love the chocolate pop tarts. They were recently on sale here and DH picked up several boxes. He got an assortment of flavors....brown sugar, smores, cherry with frosting, blueberry but NO chocolate! Oh well I shouldn't be eating them anyways.View Thread
I am taking full advantage of the alone time (yes I call being home with just the twins alone time since they just sleep all the time) because I know that it will be ending soon. DH loves taking the kids to parks and I just don't like being outside all that much in general so it's been great. Once he goes back to work next week it will all come to an end. He might take them once in a while but it won't be like it is now.View Thread
Yes I had my babies!!! I need to change my screen name but have been too lazy to do it. I had the twins last Monday. Allie came out the regular way but as soon as she popped out Maddie turned breech. The doctor tried to turn her but she was stubborn. So I ended up with a c/s for her. I did not want to deliver both ways but I didn't want to cause any complications by delivering breech either. Alllie was 5.15 and Maddie was 6.9. Not too bad for 37 week twins. They were perfectly healthy and came home with me last Wednesday.
The c/s wasn't as bad as I expected but I am REALLY sore. I guess thats to be expected. I have been taking Motrin around the clock and have some nice pain killers to top it off. I hate taking pain meds but I have really given in because up until yesterday I had a hard time functioning without them.
You will be happy to hear DH has been awesome. He has been helping a lot and takes the older three out a lot so I can just have some quiet time at home.View Thread
I have a gas Fridgidare (sp) and like it. It's about five years old. It's really basic though. Just the stove, oven, and broiler. But it works and gets the job done! The only thing I can recommend is buy a self cleaning oven!!!!!View Thread
Eggplant is yummy! I love it. The kids used to eat it but no longer do. My favorite is to cut off the skin, slice, coat with egg and breadcrumbs, and then put it in the skillet. It's yummy. You can also make Eggplant Paramisan (sp). I love that too but don't make it often since I'm the only one that eats it. You can check the site allrecipes.com. If you type in eggplant I am sure there will be tons of ideas.View Thread
We went to Target last night and I found the flashcards you were talking about. I didn't go there just for them but thought I would grab them while I was there. I also bought three other packs of flash cards as well. My 3yr old is still having trouble with a few colors so I thought they would be really helpful.
I'm not crazy about character clothes. I don't think they look very nice at all! I like shirts with designs on them from like Children's Place and others like it. But the kids love the character shirts. DS has a few but I try to pair them with some nice shorts so it looks a little nicer.
I always swore I wouldn't let my kids get wrapped up in all the character type stuff but it happened. DH is partly to blame for all the superhero stuff. Luckily we don't have cable so the kids have only seen maybe two episodes of Spongebob. I think a lot of the princess and Dora clothes are just ugly. I have to say the Batgirl shirts I found were really cute. Well the one more than the other.
Oh and I LOVED Wonder Woman as a kid. I used to have the matching cami and panties and would run around the house pretending to be her. I think her boobs got a lot bigger over the years! DS has a small (2 inchs high) action figure of Wonder Woman and her boobs are flippin huge!View Thread
My kids undress dolls too. DS is the worst. He undresses every doll or Barbie that comes into the house. Including all the Ken dolls. I did the same thing as a kid and my mom used to get annoyed with me as well.View Thread
