I am friend with my nieces on facebook. They are in their 20's. I noticed today that my one neice updated her profile picture. It's her on a swing with my DD. It's from when she and my SIL took the kids to the park. In some ways I guess I don't mind. Likely because she changes her picture a lot. But part of me is bothered by this. I keep all my photos on facebook for friends only. I have a flower as my profile pic and have my privacy setting fairly high. I am only one there to keep up with a few friends and some family. Anyway, she never asked to use the picture with DD in her profile and she has a ton of friends who have lots of friends and so on. I don't think DH would be pleased to know the picture is on her page. But at the same time I doubt I will say anything because she changes her picture about every two weeks to a month.
So my question is...would you be bothered by this? Would you say something? Or not worry about it?View Thread
We did the regular format. I didn't want to pay the extra cash for 3D especially since I knew the kids wouldn't keep their glasses on the entire time. I can see where it would be really cool in 3D but it isn't necessary at all!
It cost me $22 for DS, DD, and myself. That was before candy and drinks. I got two boxes of snow caps, a small Sprite, and cotton candy and spent another $18. So total it was $40 for us to go to the movies!!! Of course the snacks and drink weren't necessary but we rarely go to the theater.View Thread
It's so hard to choose!! And all of it is so darn cute. Sometimes he decides for me by destroying his art work before we even get home. He will pick all the eyes, stickers, or whatever off. I have a bunch of stuff from when he was smaller too. He is starting to draw real pictures now and I want to save some of those. I might get a smaller three ring binder for those and then an accordian style file for school work. I can put all of preschool (this past year and upcoming year) and K in there.View Thread
Are you keeping art work and papers from preschool? I'm keeping some but not all. I kept everything up until Christmas and then weeded through the papers. I did the same thing at the end of the year. The school also gave us a folder with school work. I haven't gone through this yet though. I am trying to decide how to store things. I have pictures from his holiday parties and the end of the year program. I will add those to his scrapbook. If I add the school work it will eat up space in his book. I am thinking of buying a nice little accordian style file folder. I can use a section for each year. Just curious how everyone else is storing things.View Thread
We have the ones you mentioned except Hi Ho Cherry-oh.
We also have Go Fish. It's not the card came though. Each player has a little boat that holds four cards. You lay out the fish cards like with memory. Each player has a fishing pole with a suction thing at the end. There is a few ways to play but my two prefer this way.
We also have Chutes and Ladders, Ants in the Pants (which can be hard for DS but he likes it), Cootie, Let's Go Fishin (the kids LOVE this game), and Dominos.
I am planning on putting games on DS's birthday and Christmas list. I think Santa will be bringing the kids games for Christmas as well.View Thread
I took the kids to see Toy Story 3 today and they had a blast! It was such a cute movie. I really enjoyed watching it myself. I laughed as much as the kids and there were a few parts that got me teary eyed. So if anyone is thinking of seeing it go! It's so cute.
I told DH if we want to get the kids any Toy Story toys this Christmas or even for DS's birthday in October we probably need to go ahead and start getting stuff now and just tuck it away. I am sure they will start selling out soon and will be hard to come by closer to fall/Christmas time.View Thread
I really want to get him the Ghostbuster car. I think I will just keep an eye out for it at stores. I went through and got rid of a bunch of hot wheels last year. I just kept his favorties. So it isn't as bad as it used to be. It's like those things multiple! It was like one day he had five then the next fifty!View Thread
When the kids woke up this morning I talked with them. I explained that I wasn't feeling the best lately and that was making me grumpy. That it wasn't their fault at all and that I loved them so much. I went on and explained things the best I could while keeping it simple. Then DS said "Don't worry mommy when you're not fat anymore (meaning pregnant) you'll be mommy again." So I guess he understands more than I realize!View Thread
