My son will be 8 in August, and he doesn't have any friends. As far as I can tell it doesn't even bother him. But, it bothers me tremendously. He seems to get along fine with most kids, and he has a younger brother and cousins who he plays with as well. Just yesterday I asked if there was anyone he'd like to invite over to play, and he said no. He said he doesn't want anyone to come over or to go over to anyone's house because it's boring. I guess if having no friends doesn't bother him I should let it go. But, I have two fears. One is that he's lying and that it does bother him. And, two I fear this isn't healthy.
My DS is 6 (he'll be 7 in August), and he has quite the attitude problem. He is perfectly behaved in school - so much so that the teachers always comment on it. But, at home he talks back and yells at us. We are at our wits end. We don't know the appropriate way to handle him. At this point we've yelled back (wrong reaction), ignored (wrong reaction), and even tried speaking calmly in response. When he is behaving he is an angel. But, when he's mad about something he sure let's us know! Help!!!View Thread
I am on a mission to find blondie brownies. I don't understand why they are so hard to find. Do you know of any places that sell them, especially in the Chicagoland area? Although I would love to hear about them in any area because a lot of places will ship.
I agree. But, we're struggling right now in some areas. He's really good at getting in his fruits. And, like when he says he's hungry in between meals I try to encourage fruit as a snack. He could do better with getting in his veggies. I think the biggest problem is what we let him eat for his meals. We let him have a lot of hamburgers and hot dogs. We've tried pushing grilled chicken and stuff like that, but he refuses. I know we are the parents, and he'll eat if he's hungry, but I'd rather find a way to get him to eat that stuff willingly. He even tries that healthy stuff and spits it out!View Thread
DS will be 6 in August and is about 44 inches tall. I think he might weigh too much, but I'm curious how much an average almost 6 year old boy weighs at that height. What does your DS weigh?View Thread
