Hi, My 8 year old daughter just started her period 4 days ago. We were both in shock and overwhelmed. I too, felt as though this is unfair. She still plays on the playground!!! She just started wearing a little sports type training bra but shows no other development. (no pubic hair) She is quite tall for her age but am concerned in hearing that she may only grow another 2 or so inches in the next 2 years?? Today she is cramping more and it is heavier than her first day. I'm taking her to see a Dr. I heard there was a connection with early periods and soy drinkers. I don't think she is ready for this, she is doing well other than the cramps (tylenol not helping) I still can't believe this,View Thread
