I am sorry. I only have 2 boys and have this issue. The thing that has worked best is (they LOVE video games). They earn video game time for picking up . I have a list of "chores" pretty simple...make beds -5mins video time, pick up toys -5 mins...ect. It has seemed to make a much better impact than other things I have tried. I have also done the anything left on the floor goes in a box and you have to earn it back. that worked well too. Hope any of this helps. Good luck !View Thread
I usually offer a fun activity after homework is done. It seems to help to work towards something "fun". When it is a big project I let them have outdoor/physical activity before hand that way they tend to concentrate better. I also break it down into small segments so they don't feel overwhelmed. It is tough when they are so burned out from school to get them to do anything at home..View Thread
7 is way too young! There is no way I would have a 7 yr old babysit. That is crazy. I babysat at 10 yrs old. I think that is too young honestly. I was mature for my age and had a brother 10 yrs younger so I had experience. I would think around 12 or 13 babysit for a few hoursView Thread

Well I guess I was wrong. We have homework 3 times a week picked from a monthly list. Jeepers. Plus the sight words every month. Boy have times changed. I never had homework until the 3rd grade. I am thinking we will do it after some tv time/dinner. He needs some time to calm a bit. Plus most of the assignments can be done on the weekends as well. Nothing too major.View Thread
