I have a 9 year old son, his cholestrol is 209. We have been trying to lower this by "diet" for about a year with no results. He is not happy because he can't eat the foods he wants and he is heavy only through the middle. He is very active and plays Lacross at the moment and has practice 2 times a week. So its not that he is'nt active. I just wondered if anyone has tried medications for children with this situation? I read about them not knowing what the long term side effects are in kids. I don't know what to do I feel so bad for him....thanks for any info on this subject.....View Thread
