I wanted to share with anyone that might be from Missouri, there is a free program in MO for infants to have their eyes examed more in depth than your pediatrician's office. Go to www.infantsee.org to learn more!View Thread
I think you need to have him evaluated by a mental health professional, this all seems like it could be leading to a psycological (sp) disorder. I don't mean it in a bad way but if caught early enough it can be treated and let him live a "normal" life, also this could be a sign of depression. PLEASE talk to his doctor or a mental health professional about this! HTHView Thread
Also you MUST clean all bed linens, put your pillows in a black trash bag in the sun will help speed along the process, also make sure that you are checking or getting yourself checked too. Wash anything that gets near the hair including all towels and clothing in HOT water and bleach if you can. Baseball hats, crowns anything that a child may put on their head also needs to be cleaned or gotten rid of to make sure that you get rid of them, Vaccum like crazy as well to get them out of the carpet. I had this same question before my daughter was born so I posed it to the local fire department and some firefighter friends and everyone I spoke to said to put it in the center is the safest for the baby or behind the driver because if there is an accident the first thing you are going to do is try to avoid getting hit on the drivers side. In response to your #4, really? You are comparing your Son's who I am assuming live in the US or another industrialized country to those in Africa, I think that it should be left to the boy, my fiance and I decided before we knew if we were having a boy or a girl that we would not circumcise for any reason and especially not because that is what the "crowd" says we should do. If when I have a boy they decide when they are old enough to have the surgery done then it would be 100% their decision, this is not my body and in no way do I believe it is a decision I should make.
I have a little girl now and I can't imagine doing away with any part of her sexual organs could you imagine damaging her clitoris for any reason what so ever? Not to mention I refuse to have her ears pierced because " it would be cute" that is a decision she should make when she is old enough. Call me strange or what have you but I think that people messing with their kids bodies before their kids can have an opinion is wrong.View Thread
I grew up in a house with both parents smoking, not sure of lung damage but I have hearing loss due to ear infections as a child that will never go away. It makes me sad to think that my hearing is comprimised before I was even 20 and it is all liked to something my parents could have prevented!View Thread
