My son is 29 months old (2 and a half) and he only weighs 27 pounds. His doctor didn't have any concerns about his weight at his 2 year check up (he weighed 26 pounds then). His birthweight was 6 lbs 2 oz. I think your daughter is probably just fine View Thread
I think you will be surprised by how much he will learn every day especially if you work with him like you do. My oldest DS has learned so much in the past few months. He turned two in July and around his birthday he just started talking up a storm. He is able to count to 10 and just started learning his ABC's. And he has learned the lyrics to quite a few songs and sings them on his own. And now we are at the stage where the "Why?" questioning has begun. Lol.
I think your new son is a great learning environment and he will do great! You seem like a wonderful mommy!View Thread
Just wanted to let everyone know about a really good deal I have found. Apparently, Pampers are changing their packaging so all of the old boxes are being clearanced out. Huggies are also on clearance.
I work for Walmart and at my store we normally sell the boxes of Pampers for $19.96. Ours went to clearance for $16.00. I bought a few boxes with the coupons I already had. I looked inside the diaper boxes and their were also coupons in most of them.
Then my cousin called me last night when she was at Kroger and they had the same boxes for only $12.74. So I drove around to a few Krogers last night and today and found some. When I went to the register they rang up $25.49, but when I slid my Kroger card it came up for $12.74. Plus I had the coupons that were in the other boxes. So I ended up getting them for only $10.74 each! That's like paying half price!!!View Thread
It could be his molars, but it could also be separation anxiety. My 2 year old has been going through this for awhile now. He is very clingy as of lately and sometimes when we leave his room at bedtime he keeps crying out for me. I think it's just a phase. It will get better.View Thread
I am not sure about the treatments you are talking about, but my cousin used to have acne really bad and she started using ProActive (the one they advertise on tv all the time) and it really worked for her. I think you can get it for around $25 or so. Have you tried that before? Maybe it would work for your son too.View Thread
I think I told you about my best friend before. Her and her husband just became foster parents at the end of last year and their first placement was newborn triplets. The biological parents came to the very first weekly visit and that was it so now they are in the process of adopting them. It is a very long process. It's been months already and it's still not over. Just hang in there and hopefully everything works out!!!View Thread
I went to a church consignment sale yesterday and it reminded me that I wanted to tell you to work the outside of the sale first. Usually the clothes are in the middle and all of the accessories, toys, and furniture items are lined around the outside of the clothes. You can find a lot of the little things you might want to get like socks, shoes, bibs, receiving blankets, etc. When I went I found a bag of 4 or 5 pairs of cotton pants in different colors in size 6 months that the seller had bunched together to sell as one instead of hanging them up. You never know what you might find! Good luck!View Thread
Well my favorite memory of this summer is the birth of my second son and seeing my older son (he is 2) interact with him. It's so sweet. I can already tell that they are going to be close to each other. Baby Mason just follows Carter around with his eyes. Carter can even pinch him and Mason doesn't cry because it's his big brother. They already love each other so much!
My favorite summer time memories of my childhood would be being able to ride my bike around the neighborhood and just explore. It was so much freedom. I don't think I will be able to let my boys do that. There's too much evil in this world. I might be a little over protective, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I will let my boys ride bikes when they're old enough but I will definitely be watching them every second!View Thread
