My son was very jaundiced right after he was born, to the point that we were close to needing a blood transfusion. He's had digestive issues since he was very little but they've gotten progressively worse. For a few months around his tenth birthday he was having trouble keeping anything down. It was determined by our doctor that he needed his appendix out. Once that was out, he was better for a little while but then got worse again. Almost exactly a year after getting the appendix out the same doctor determined there was an issue with the gallbladder and test showed it was giving zero output, so he had that removed as well. It has now been three months since the gallbladder surgery and my son continues to have difficulty keeping things down. He is in otherwise good heath (he's skinny and active) but I'm wondering if there is some sort of underlying cause that is getting missed. Would the jaundice as a baby have these lingering effects? Just looking for any advice anyone can give. Thanks in advance.View Thread
