I have a similar problem. I have to sit in the floor of my 8 yr old's room every nite till he falls asleep. His Dad & I divorced when he was 17mths old, was a single mom and let him sleep with me. I got remarried when he 5 yrs old. And it is has been a fight every since. He says all he wants is to sleep with me but i just can't. He tosses and turns and I have depression and I can't sleep with him in my bed. I just can't get enough rest. My mom can't understand why I just can't sleep with him or lay with him till he falls asleep. She makes me feel like a horrible mom cause I don't want to snuggle up with him. I am not a snuggler. and if I lay in the bed with him he jumps every time I move to see if I am leaving, so it takes forever. What do I do? I love him soooo much and want for both of us to get rest.View Thread
