Just searching for some insight. For the last year my CPK level has been elevated over 1300- 1400 every month. I had foot surgery about two weeks ago and my CPK level is at 2100. My rheumatologist is dumbfounded because physically I dont show signs of muscle weakness. I have had an normal EMG, normal echocardiogram and a muscle biopsy. I currently take 20 mg of methotrexate once a week and 10 mg of Prednisone daily. I do experience muscle pain and I have been diagnosed with a mixed connective tissue disease. However the CPK level is extreme and distrubing. Does anyone have any insight?View Thread
