my little girl has (HVS) (SHE GOT IT WHEN WE WERE ON VACATION FROM A CHANG TABLE. I DID NOT GO TO THE CAR FOR A CHANGING PAD FROM THE DIAPER BAG. I DID NOT KNOW THIS MOMENT WOULD CHANGE MY LIFE OR MY CHILDS. WE CAME HOME FROM VACATION EVERY THING WAS FINE, THEN TWO WEEKS LATER MY DAUGHTER HAD A SMALL RASH, THE NEXT DAY HER BUT WAS BLEEDING AND HER DIAPER WAS FULL OF BLOOD I FREAKED AND TOOK HER TO THE ER.THEY TOOK SOME COULTERS AND GAVE US TRIPLE PAST.AND SENT US HOME. TWO WEEKS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN I TOOK HER RIGHT BACK TO THE ER. AT THIS TIME I WAS GIVEN THE BAD NEWS MY LITTLE GIRL HAS GRNATLE HERPES AND WILL HAVE FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE.) NOW I CANT WORK DAY CARE WILL NOT WATCH HER DUE TO THE FEAR OF THE OTHER KIDS MIGHT GET IT. THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR PARENTS TO DEAL WITH THIS . MY CHILD HAS AN OUTBREAK TWICE A MONTH.I HAVE FOUND ABREVA/ OTHER ORAL HERPES MEDS HELP TO MAKE THE OUTBREAK END QUICKER AND HELPS WITH THE PAIN SHE GOES THROW DURING THIS TIME. I TALK TO HER PEDIATRICIAN WHEN I TRY NEW THINGS. BUT MY CHILD IS THE ONLY KID AT THIS OFFICE THAT HAS (HVS). YES I LET THE NURSES KNOW SHE HAS IT SO THEY MAY WHERE GLOVES WHEN TOUCHING HER. now i am out of work no one will watch her. and people look at us like we are dirty, or have problems like why does a baby that is 1 1/2 years old have an (STD). no i do not have herpes or my other daughter. i am a single mom so it makes things a little more harder. I have looked for help and support i have not found any yet. I WOULD LIKE TO START A SUPPORT GROUP FOR PARENTS AND KIDS DEALING WITH (HVS)
