My Story:
Hello Everyone,
I am a mother of four children. One boy (20) and three girls(16, 14 &13). My 14 year old daughter has Cerebral Palsy. She also has Microcephaly and a seizure disorder. She has a dislocated hip and is spastic in her lower torso and legs. She can not walk or talk and needs adult assistance for everything in her everyday life. Her step father, brother and sisters are a great help with her. They all pitch in and help make her as happy healthy and as comfortable and she can possibly be. She also has a home health aid that comes to our home 4-5 days a week to help out with her.
I wanted to start this exchange for parents of Special needs kids. I know myself how hard it is sometimes to find the informartion you need or even find someone to ask advice from when it comes to dealing with your special needs child. Especially if you a new parent or you are dealing with the day to day issues of a special needs child for the first time. As I said my daughter is 14 and i'm still trying to figure things out with her sometimes. The whole her hitting puberty thing had my head swimming with questions.. LOL
Please feel free to share your story, advice or information that you feel may be helpful to another parent out there.
