Don't be afraid to talk with your teens, ask about the game and look for warning signs including attempts to hide marks on the neck, or ropes and cords tied to doorknobs.

He is struggling to focus and working in large groups. He recieves early intervention services for reading and math. I have to say he improved A LOT since September. But his teacher says he isn't where she'd like him to be.
I have a lot of people their opinions. Two 18 year olds with October and November birthdays said they wished their parents left them back bc they were the last ones to do everything. In college they couldn't rent books, go to clubs, etc because they weren't yet 18. Other parents of kids have said they regretted not holding their kids back and others say it was the best thing they did to hold them back. However, I am now nervous that he will go into Kindergarten again in September and be a beginning reader while the other kids are nonreaders. Is he going to be bored?
My real question is....has anyone here thought about leaving their child behind or has done it? I would like advice from parents with older children. Thanks in advance!View Thread
If they think a traditional Easter basket is just for kids, how about filling up a new purse, make-up bag, backpack, tackle box or tool box with candy, fun and practical items.

Until recently these compounds were sold in gas stations and convenience stores. The Drug Enforcement Administration has banned chemicals found in Spice and K2, but people may still be able to find these substances on the Internet.
This new report discusses why teens are drawn to these drugs, dangers, symptoms experienced when using synthetic marijuana and the increase in ER visits -

We just got custody of my 12yr old step son. He is has been soiling his pants during the day and wetting the bed at night. He comes from a troubled home with his mother... needless to say he took care of himself and younger brother. He did whatever he wanted and had no rules. Missed 26 days of school the first quarter. Now that we have him it is a daily struggle for him to adjust to our daily routines and way of living. My husband and I have a 12yr old boy and 2 month old baby girl. We have a daily routine and rules in our home. My step son will soil his pant and will walk around in it until his dad or I say something. We make him wash out his own underwear and clothing. We have cut off all liquids after dinner for him. I have just added him to our insurance and have made appointments with a councilor and with our family physician. Has anyone else heard of this or experienced this? I love him to death and want to get the best possible help that we can. My husband and I feel that he is doing this for attention but are now starting to think that this maybe more of a medical issue. Any insight?
