My 11 year old daughter has a really weak bladder, I have had her to a specialist etc to rule out any infections he thinks its just cause she is growing fast and close to puberty but wondering if anyone has any tips or a similar situation
It doesn't happen heaps that she will wet herself she is good at going to the toilet regularly to avoid this but she gets soooo embarrassed if it does happen.
Her main problem is once it starts she can't stop the flow, at the bladder specialist he made her do a test drink 1 drink bottle of water then wait till she needed to pee then she had to wait 10 more mins so she was a bit busting then she was allowed to pee into a 20ml cup then hold for 30 sec repeat again then empty her bladder, well the first pee into the cup she couldn't stop and pee'd all over the floor, she burst into tears and was so embarrassed. She has to also practice holding when she feels the urge for 10 minutes and stopping and starting the flow on the loo.
Things like laughing, cold water etc are the main things that cause an accident or being caught not near a loo.
I can see she is starting to not want to be in social situation etc incase this happens I have tried her using an absorbent pad but it doenst seem to hold enough
