Keep in mind she is pressuring us to have baby #2 and this will not be possible if we stay on our own.

BOB's gf and I are suppose to meet soon.... We'll see if it actually happens....
I find myself questioning, should I have started this? *ugh* I hate the drama.....View Thread
We are still having issues with our families respecting boundaries but it is nothing that we can't handle.
Kayleigh is 6 months, 16lbs 5oz and 27" long. Doctor seems to think that she will be close to 6ft when she is older....View Thread
I am now a single mother of two beautiful boys, one is biracial and the other is not. I am also going through a divorce from my first sons father. Here is where the first twist happens...my youngest is 7 weeks old and my soon to be ex is not his father. Now I know most of you are thinking immediatly that I cheated on my husband. I did no such thing, my husband and I had an open relationship, we were swingers. One of the risks of having this kind of lifestyle is getting pregnant. We had no idea that the baby wasnt my husbands until he came out. Big surprise to all of us when this beautiful light brown child came into the world. My husband stayed 4 weeks and then decided (with the push of his family) that he wasnt going to raise somebody else's child.
So far the biological father wants nothing to do with his child. Ok so ready for your next twist...I live in one of the most racist towns, my mother and father (whom I am living with) are completly accepting and loving of there grandchild. My brother on the other hand...not so much. He said some very hurtful things about my son and even got a confederate flag tattoo after the baby was born. This obviosly makes it very tough living here. The looks I get around town are just amazing...How is it in this day of age are people still so judgmental all because of someones skin color, especailly of a baby's! Im scared by the time they reach school age that I will have to move just because of how hard his life will be here.
Like I said before im not even sure if im venting in the right place. But because of my husband leaving us has not only affected me but my children, and my parents. He now gets to lead the role of part time dad to our son ( whom is acting out all the time due to all the changes that has been made) I am so overwhelmed by everything these days.
Thank you for listening to me vent. I have to remind myself that I got the best part of all of this...two of the most beautiful children ever seen.View Thread
The german people conquered numerous nations in their history. I am sure that I have several races in me.View Thread
It might just be me but my SO is African American and I am caucasian, everywhere we go that we are together with our LO they give us the strangest looks and have even said they are surprised that he "stuck around", this bothers me greatly because people are putting their stero types on everyone... UGH it just breaks my heart because my SO is a great Dad even though no one wants to believe it some days!View Thread
Does anyone else out there think like I do? Do you have problems filling out forms? What do you do when your child doesn't fit into the boxes that someone made?View Thread

She says "There are too many black people there.".
I was so shocked I didn't know how to respond. So I said well for me there location isn't close to me.
I am simply shocked and so sad that some day my children will experience racism.
I thought about reporting her to management. I really do not know what to do..as it totally took me off guard and I typically am more vocal.View Thread
i'm white - like super fair-skinned with auburn hair - and my DF is black with very dark skin. i'm looking forward to seeing what our little guy looks like! we live in toronto, canada, which is apparently one of the most multicultural cities in the world, so interracial couples are fairly common here. my mom is from mississippi, and DF is from zimbabwe, so i think our families were a bit surprised by our relationship at first. but we've been together for 5 1/2 years now, and everyone can't wait to meet our little baby! i saw a post about this board on the 3rd trimester exchange and thought i'd pop over to check it out. looking forward to chatting with you all.View Thread
I guess what I want to know from everyone is:
Do you wish this board was more active or are you fine with it the way it is?
If you want more activity, do you have any suggestions?
Would you welcome opening up the board to other topics not necessarily related to race (ie. every day things/parenting topics members are dealing with)?
Thanks for the feedback!View Thread
