Has anyone with more than one bi-racial child noticed that as they had more children the lighter they got?..lol...it sounds so silly but seriously ..my oldest daughter is dark skinned.and has very dark brown/black hair..and big brown eyes..so pretty..(looks very spanish)..my middle daughter is a little lighter , and even has brown/reddish hair..and green eyes..she looks exotic...my son is sooo white you'd never guess he was a mixed baby has blonde/reddish hair and bright BLUE eyes..looks just like me..(im white, babydaddy is black)...it just seems the more kids I had the lighter they got with skin , hair and eye color..
Im not with my ex-husband anymore and havent been for about 3yrs.(briefly re0unitd in sept 07, thats where my son came from..:O)..)..I do have a SO who has stepped up (also black, with 3mixed babies)and became the father me kids needed...I thank GOD everyday for him...

I am curious what you all have heard/experienced in regards to cities and states that are better or worse to live in for mixed couples.View Thread
Sometimes do you wonder that there may be some racial prejudice? Not anything concrete but a "feeling" KWIM?
Yes this teachers "style" of teaching was radical in my opinion but she seemed much"warmer" to the other children.
I moved him a month after he was there .
Now that he is in the new preschool it is wonderful he has learned so much and thrived.
Just wondering if you ever had that "feeling" of prejudice and how do you teach your children to deal with it or how to deal with it?
I know this is a deep/complex question but it has happened a couple of times and I don't want to "blame" them for being prejudice yet it is there.View Thread
My sincere wish for my son is to embrace that he's not "just" black, but Korean too and to know something about both sets of ethnic backgrounds he comes from. I realize it's my responsibility to raise him as a citizen of the world and I so look forward to it.View Thread
My name is Heather and I created this exchange so that parents of biracial/multiracial children could come together and discuss the joys and challenges that face us as we raise our children.
My husband and I are blessed to have a beautiful six (almost seven) month old daughter. I know as a biracial baby ( Hubby is Black and I am White) she will benefit from growing up with a rich heritage and a wide variety of cultural experiences. At the same time, I sometimes worry about what she might face growing up in a society that can often be unaccepting.
I am excited to meet other members and see where this message board goes. The sky is the limit, so start posting!View Thread
