Thanks Haylen The majority of my family has died of heart or stroke before they reach 70. My sister had a major heart attack at 48. The left chanber of my heart is enlarged and I become short of breath walking up hills. In addition my legs feet and ankles are swollen all the time. None of the doctors--GP, Endocrinologist and Neurologist have been able to determine what is causing it. Looks like we may have found the answer. With all the health problems I am lucky to still be here. I guess the lord is not ready for me yet and the devil afraid I will take over.
Good Morning Haylen When I was first diagnosed with Parkinsons I was told to stay off the treadmill.I did not listen and continue to use the treadmill. I found out before the diagnosis that even though I had problems walking with out falling or tripping if I used the treadmill--I used the bars on the sides to maintain balance--after 30 min I found it easier to walk. After I started taking the medication combined with the treadmill I move just as well as before parkinson. My next goal is running. I use to be in a runners group in Italy.View Thread
